Re: Kebe Watch

3points Didn't even make the bench for Palace today. Don't think he's Pulis' type of player

I was at Stamford Bridge. He did make the Bench, but at the very, very last minute the announcer advised of a bench change as Kebe was "sick". No real change there then.

Re: Dear Mr Chairman

Haven't read all or even much of these many pages, but thought I would make a vey rare appearance to get things off my chest. Much is said (Mainly by SJM) about how the football club needs to be run well on a firm footing etc blah, blah, blah. But surely the football club exists & enters leagues...

Re: Back from the game - Sheffield Utd

From the BBC Web site Sheffield United boss Kevin Blackwell: "If it was a school report, it would be 'could do better'. We started so well, but I felt that we took our feet off the pedal. "It became too easy and we were too sloppy. They are a team full of Premier League players , :...

Re: RODGERS OUT. END OF

I am a previous long term season ticket holder who gave it up at the end of last season having been bored to tears watching utter tripe for most of the season. i have come on here tonight to guage the mood, which as expected resembles a lynching party. Am I alone in doubting whether changing manager...

Re: Coppell was right

Having wondered when SC might return to management I wonder if that day might be near? With the sacking of Notts Countys manager they will be looking for a man of substance prepared to take on the challenge of lifting a club out of the lower leagues. With budget not a problem it is a job where SC mi...

Pearce is the ONLY Reading player in the Top 100 Championship Players accoding to the latest Actim Stats.

A frightening statistic, oh for the days when we had most of the top 20!

Re: Most gutting moment as a Reading fan.

The obvious ones, Bolton & Walsal ............... But how about this one ............(not sure if anyone else has flagged it up yet) Matty Upson going back to Arsenal(?) after his loan spell. His presence transformed the team, on & off the pitch. He was there for the taking, but clearly some...

Re: Farewell's to Stephen Hunt

From today's BBC web site .........................

"I know how difficult the second season syndrome in the Premier League can be from Reading, so, hopefully, I can bring my experience of that here," said Hunt.

Does that mean he plans to play like a twat again, and take Hull down too?

Re: who do you want as our next manager?

sandman Owen Coyle.
Anyone that can get a team that bad to a play-off final has to be some sort of genius.

Thanks Sandman ........... raised an audible chuckle out of me as I sit here on a dreary depressing wet Wed am. And sooooo true.

Martinez please.

Re: Coppell has gone

I think history will show just how well SC did for this club. JM has never thrown money at this squad and yet SC got the team up to the premiership and was relegated on goal difference. The team that pipped us are now 7th in the prem on a similar fan base. SC has hinted that the spending projection...

Heck!! I knew time was going slow on Saturday, but it seems I have lost another hour of my life too!! I thought it was only about 10.15am. But the post says 11.15am. With the hours dissapearing at the blink of an eye, all the more reason to us my time more carfelly next Saturday. Better get on with ...

Re: Coppell out!

I rarely post on here these days. Partly due to simply being too busy, and in part to the standard of debate on here in recent years. True respectful debate seems rare, and it seems if you don't have the same opinion as the next man you will be insulted & ridiculed in the misguided belief that i...

Re: end of year report - end of season expectations

What I don't understand about these points is that Coppell seems oblivious to them. He never critiques a poor performance. As someone has already hinted I am quite sure Coppell "critiques" EVERY game, and indeed every shortcoming. He is far too astute & experienced for that, and don't...

We parked at Altrincham for free and got on a 15 min metro ride to Old Trafford. 5 stops. £2.80 return!! And no queue or wait to speak of. Took a risk by going all the way there with no ticket ......... and 10 mins before the KO still had not seen so much as a sniff of any for sale. I then just ask...

Harry Redknapp has to be the winner, and I would go for Andy Johnson (reluctantly), he has been amazing.

Paddy power also has Frank Lampard second favourite to be the Premierships leading goalscorer at 11/2

They will have to be giving him a much larger Barn door to aim at, and a Banjo with a much lomger neck then!!
