Re: BFTG - Charlton

Thats what you think. I have connections in the club that agree with me Blimey DD, you have connections everywhere :!: If there was any truth to the above statement, it wouldn't have progressed to this season. There is truth to it but they had already commited to this season beforehand. It won't be...

CountryRoyal We were shit, Charlton were were shit. Lucky goal changed the game and we didn’t do enough to get back into it.

Couldn’t disagree more that Charlton were shit. Defensively strong, nullified our system brilliantly and were more than the sum of their parts. Fortunate goals but they earned it.

I don’t disagree that it’s not necessarily the hardest draw, but it’s still shit - I don’t want to go to Wolverhampton.

I went there once. Stayed inside the Travelodge

Are you ok? If you need to talk about it I'm here for you.

I will never talk about it.

You weren't there, man!

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

It transpires that 11 days after buying Bury, Steve Dale set up two new companies, Bury Heritage Ltd and Bury Leisure Ltd, and started transferring assets over (including the club's trophies)

Snowflake Royal
CavershamRoyal Personally want Cambridge at home, if they get through. Otherwise, any home tie, preferably against lower league opposition. Nothing too dreary like Preston or Forest.

As always, Cambridge away.

Yeah, I don’t think we’re getting Cambridge.

Re: BFTG - Plymouth (A)

I ran down the stairs at Home Park when Doyle made it 0-2 back in 05/06 :D Randomly, the only time I've ever ran down the stairs for a goal was when Nicky Forster scored to make it 2-1 at home to Peterborough in 2002 (we still ended up drawing). It was that game with the Phil Whitehead howler from ...

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

Can I just clarify - is Steve Dale definitely the bad guy here? Only I heard the club was in dire straights before he took over. He's just one of the characters. As stated 43 of his 51 companies have been liquidated... that's what he does, buys ailing companies, tries to turn a profit, and liquidat...

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

RIP Bury This is a dark day for English football. Sky sports and the Premier league and EFL should be held accountable. This is a grave indication of what is to come. Bury achieved promotion from League Two with players that they couldn't afford to pay. It's very sad for Bury fans, but this one fal...
