Re: Do you agree with todays pitch invasion and match abandonment?

Some pics of the pitch invasion I took on Saturday - thought there would be more on here. https://i.imgur.com/mYE0AZo.jpg Cheers. Think that is me hopping the East Stand hoardings. I may frame this photo with my Wycombe (a) and Exeter 9-0 ticket stubs. The Highs and Lows. RFC 2023-24. RIP.

Re: Do you agree with todays pitch invasion and match abandonment?

Who Not going to link to it as I have no intention to e-beef or try and cause a pile on, but one of the more prominent RFC fans I often see on twitter commenting on things appears to be campaigning to make the entire thing about themselves and what a huge hero they are. The ego they must have is qu...

Re: Did the protest do what it intended?

I'm thinking the EFL may be able to sanction Dai Yongge personally for the game abandonment if inadequate stewarding/policing is due to his lack of funds. Argue that he lacks the funds to guarantee that future home fixtures will be fullfilled. Again put forth he should be disqualified from footballi...

Re: Did the protest do what it intended?

To many it was deemed a success, but because of this I would hate for fans to think they should do it on a regular occurrence, it was like the march, it was significant and put out a loud message, any repeats and it could divide the fan base. There were several angry people there yesterday, not eve...

Re: Do you agree with todays pitch invasion and match abandonment?

Can't see what an abandonment will actually achieve, except an FA fine and a points deduction (presumably suspended). Because of precedent, there's no way the FA & FL can let this go unpunished, no matter how deep the emotions. IMHO it would have been much more effective and impressive to go on...

Re: Do you agree with todays pitch invasion and match abandonment?

TLDR, leave it to the grown up's. We got twenty seconds on national TV for a demonstration to make Dai sell a club that he's already trying sell and will in his own time as is his prerogative as the owner. Alternatively we could have won the game against Port vale and be outside the bottom four wit...

Re: Did the protest do what it intended?

As I've posted elsewhere, I think it would have been much more effective and impressive to go on for 10 minutes, then all get up and go back to the stands and let the game go on. That would have given the perception of an organised and co-ordinated group who knew what they were doing and wanted to ...

Re: Do you agree with todays pitch invasion and match abandonment?

I don't know what your point is? Do you think we are survivng relegation if Dai is allowed to sell the first team in January and finish the season with the reserves? Attempting to force a sale now is the only viable solution. How does abandonment force a sale ? It won’t change the asset value of th...

Re: Do you agree with todays pitch invasion and match abandonment?

Would rather people boycotted games than got another one abandoned. The protest was losing support the longer it went on and doing it again and again would make the fanbase more and more fractious Boycott is completely meaningless. 90+% of fans have already paid for their tickets. With regard to th...

Re: Do you agree with todays pitch invasion and match abandonment?

I was one of the 70 or so that stuck around and caused the abandonment yesterday. Think I spotted BenReading there until the end, not sure if he still posts here. Mix of ages: 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s. 1 or 2 that looked U18 at max I would say. Not 'stupid kids on pocket money' but adults with jobs riskin...

Re: BFTG Barnsley

Meite wins lots of headers because he is a big bloke usually being marked by a smaller bloke and we aim most of our goal kicks at him. Yeah, you're quite right there's no skill involved, it's all genetics. The 6ft1 Meite was born with a spring in his step and super strength, nothing to do with hard...

Whoscored stats based Meite vs Puscas. Both scored Puscas assist + Puscas yellow card - Puscas better pass completion Meite more shots on target Puscas more key passes Meite way more aerials won Meite was subbed so his quality was packed into fewer minutes. Meite 3 dribbles, Puscas 0 Puscas dispose...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leeds United (a) sponsored by Simon Church

Puscas was utterly dreadful and clear for all to see. Bowen would have heard every Reading fan chanting for Baldock for at least 20 minutes.

A serious energy injection was required and his only sub was Charlie Adam!

What game was Bowen watching?

Re: BFTG - Blackpool

Bowen really should have identified that Burley vs Gnanduillet would be a complete mismatch. Blackett and Miazga at CB, Ejaria and Meite on the bench to get a winner if required, and we would have avoided an unnecessary midweek trip to Blackpool. Obviously he is doing a very good job at Reading, but...
