Re: Next seasons kit choice?

Interesting that we try and save money by getting the kit later than everyone else.

Then spend money on publicity stunts like sending the kit into space*.

*Which resulted in one of my favourite comments of all time - "They're seeing how it works in a place with no atmosphere." :D

Re: Next Season's Squad.

I can't understand a lot of the positivity around the current squad. Are people forgetting how much we struggled without the 5 loanees in Jan? This is the same side (maybe slightly younger and more inexperienced) that really, really struggled at champ level. I remain positive that we'll get a few m...

Re: Next Season's Squad.

I would have given McNulty a shot rather than Baldock At least McNulty has been scoring goals recently,Baldock just seems to run around a lot not really doing that much Not sure. McNulty only seems able to score at a level/team where he's getting lots of chances. Baldock is a proven Championship go...

Re: Next Season's Squad.

Not everyone chooses an occupation/lifestyle based off of money. Some people value the quality of their work and I would feel guilty earning as much as he does when he’s not doing anything for it if he’s not included in our squad But everyone thinks different thoughts and he may choose to take the ...

Re: Next Season's Squad.

So summary so far according to Friday Bod - Millwall McCleary - USA Kelly - Feyenoord Baldock - Charlton Also reported that there is likely to be another exit rumoured later Gone from not getting rid of any of the unwanted players to a flurry of rumours. Like London buses etc... Being reported that...

I think you are masking pessimism as realism there buddy. In reality a first team of ---------------------GK Yiadom--Moore--Blackett--Obita ------Rinomhota---CM Meite-----------Swift----------Barrow ---------------------ST Walker/Boyce-Clarke Watson/Howe Osho/McIntyre Richards East/Holsgrove Olise/...

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

I missed a couple of memos regarding FGR I remember them being well thought of - plucky little overachievers, etc The next minute - every football blog nonce out there can't find enough bad things to say about them A bit like Reading actually I suppose Well we've hardly been the best behaved team f...

Re: Next Season's Squad.

I know its generally not a good thing but I am quite excited about how many youngsters have been brought on the trip. If we presume the senior squad looks something like this: GKs - Walker RBs - Yiadom, Watson, Howe CBs - Moore, Osho, McIntyre LBs - Blackett, Obita, Richards CMs - Rinomhota, East, ...

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

I still think that the 'delay' hurts the club rather than help. Like, it's not a big deal, but it just needlessly annoys some fans and makes it harder for people to buy the kit for the start of the season if they're on holiday beforehand.

Re: STs for season 2019/2020

Idk - The general atmosphere around the club feels a little different now. There's no longer (or I hope not) a section of the fans that believe we're good enough for anything other than surviving in the league; we're all pretty united in our low expectations and understanding of the battle we face. ...

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

I have the full image of the new kit but i'm posting from my Nokia 3310 - so can't upload yet. You can describe it in full though? • Hoops all the way around? • Blue it white shorts for home kit? • Blue or white socks for home kit? I’ve been told the home kit is worse than plain, is that the case? ...

Re: Explain like I'm five: our FFP crisis

If the only way Reading can become a PL club is by our owners spending more than our opposition then I for one wouldn't want it to happen. It makes football ultimately just a bit meaningless. Do you suppose Citeh fans think their PL titles are meaningless? How long had it been since they won one? W...

I don't see how any reasonable football fan can object to the concept of FFP. Re: Explain like I'm five: our FFP crisis

The real question is why isn't at least half the league in FFP crisis? The average fan just doesn't appreciate that the typical wage bill for championship standard players is far more than what a typical championship club raises in revenue. The reason this is the case is mainly due to parachute paym...

Re: Celtic Eye Moore

It might be more that Celtic is the right level for him. I personally don't think he's good enough to start week in - week out in the Prem. Which means his hopes of playing at that level are either someone buys him as back up (a la Brighton last season) or he's bought by a promotion challenging cham...
