Re: Why are we so quiet?

Pretty much in agreement with everything that's been said, also think unreserved seating for any standing section we may implement in the future would be crucial as well, it'd definetely help erode the clinical feeling of being sat in the same seat every week. As well as getting sufficient numbers o...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Brighton & HA (h) sponsored by big club syndrome

Gooding gives MotM to VDB who scored an own goal and got sent off, for two yellows, one for dissent in the first half and one for getting done and pulling someone down in the second.  To be fair, he made a couple of brilliant tackles and kept his composure more than he did against Presto...

Re: Your starting XI vs Preston?

Al-Habsi Gunter Cooper (or hopefully Moore) McShane Obita Then the lottery of who's fit, ideally... Evans Van den Berg Swift Beerens Kermogant Rakels This given that it sounds like Quinn, McCleary and Mendes are all injured. Not a bad team with Moore and one more striker, most years I'd be confident...

£1mil for a British right back who's made it to the quarter finals of the Euros and has 70+ Wales caps, even considering we're post-Hammond we can do better than that.

Re: FL Re-structuring survey

It's pretty brief survey, and they could of at least outlined the changes somewhere in the intro. For me there are way too many open questions to even consider the principle of change. i.e how would you make the 4th league (presumably at the bottom?) How would promotion and relegation be affected? ...

Just before Christmas as per the course with Adkins and Clarke, when Brian Tevreden is given the role of interim head coach and we ride the wave to Southend-on-Sea.

Re: McDermott Sacked (AGAIN)

Generally agree with the consensus that the Thais appear to have no idea how to run a football club. Seem to be desperate to get to the PL but want to do it by spending no money whatsoever and any money we get for players is thrown away on manager settlements. Clueless. Of course if this is totally...

these things are not aimed at you, and have no effect on you I mostly agree, however the Kingsley Caper thing keeps annoyingly catching my eye as does the bit in the Thai airlines advert where it pans away over the clouds. Yeah, find that really irritating. Also, 'these things are not aimed at you'...

Re: Message from the Thai's

Excellent post. I'm with you! Agree totally. When Brian came back there was serious discussion about the way forward. The Thai's didn't want a repeat of the Clarke experience. As long as the club builds and moves forward. Then it'll be a happy ship once again. And this explains why they pondered ov...

RoyalCrisp He'll be our manager by Christmas.

Great, no managerial experience and never coached anyone over the age of 15. Perfect appointment.

Surely the natural progression of a club with foreign owners with no football experience is to appoint a foreign manager with no managerial experience.

Re: Strangely optimistic about next season.

No idea why. That's all. McDermott is good at identifying the gaps and weak links in squads and fixing them. Mcdermott is good at building a team ethos and producing something greater than the sum of its parts. The Thais have previously shown solid, but not crazy backing for signings. We're losing ...

Re: Safe Standing Petition

From a TVP point of view, I imagine having all the lively Reading fans at the opposite end to the away fans all in one small-ish easy to control area may be preferable than having them right next to the away fans. That would kill the atmosphere totally. You need the interaction with the away fans. ...

... but we have been really poor for the last 2 years bar the first 3 months of this season. I wouldn't say we're miles better than the relegated sides, couldn't score in 180 against MK. There's only so many years you can be this poor and rely on an even worse bottom three, would look at Villa and ...

Re: Worried Supporters.

If you want to understand the gap between the Championship and League One, remember when we dicked promotion hopefuls Walsall 4-0 this season? Good point this, it has been a poor couple of seasons but the championship is hard to get out of at either end. You have to be really poor and deserve to ge...

Re: Safe Standing Petition

Find people comparing safe standing with Hillsborough ridiculous, as has been said, standing has been confirmed as having nothing to do with the tragedy. If the goverment or clubs continue to use it as a stick to bash standing and those who stand, they're completely mis-informed and more likely igno...
