Re: MATCHWATCH : Lincoln City (h)

WestYorksRoyal Among the ref criticism, anybody else think he bottled a 2nd yellow for Wing late on?

Definitely - it was the classic different rules applied when player is already on a yellow.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Lincoln City (h)

Anyone able to explain who scored the goal? Looked all the world like Bindon headed it in, but announcer said Knibbs and so did Sky Bet……which would be a shame as had Tyler at 25/1

Dorsett has to be one of the laziest players to put on a Reading shirt.

Mola on please

Re: MATCHWATCH : Lincoln City (h)

Clear handball. Absolute howler from the ref. Surely should have been a red card too? Was it really at Port Vale, 8 months ago, that Reading last had a penalty in a league game? Seems to be a season of refereeing incompetence across all 4 divisions. Thankfully at least we don't have VAR here to mak...

Re: The phoenix club thread

Agree in that I'd need to have confidence in the new outfit before investing, but for me the bar is somewhat higher than STAR and Nigel f*cking Howe. That lot couldn't organise a piss up in brewery. My main concern is my money being used for the purpose it was given. Not how well it is used. If you...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Derby County (a)

Bit pointless to blame the officials. We weren't good enough on the night and were beaten by a better team fighting for promotion. It was a free hit. Bit pointless to blame the reason we lost on the actual reason we lost? Is this guy for real? It all evens itself out over the course of a season. Th...

Agreed. Up there with one on the worst refereeing decisions we’ve had to endure.

I sometimes think SBWD need to consider the bigger picture and why these punishments are levied. Yep. I could do an annotation of what is wrong with that SBWD statement. Most paragraphs to be honest. Para 1 - You need sporting sanctions to stop clubs from breaching financial fair play. As can be se...

Re: Potential New Owners

Yeah I think the only problem is timeframes, when people say "sustainable", how long do they expect that to last? That's the only thing I'd say. How much money has the Brentford owner put in? In their build up to promotion, it felt like they brought in big transfer fees to finance the squ...

I've tried Joh Howell (although hold only the faintest of hopes that he'll even respond)! "Dear John, I hope this email finds you well and recovered from the party's turmoil over the previous few years. I write a constituent and Reading FC fan to implore you to speak to the Secretary of State ...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

It's all motivated by greed. From the owners to the agents to the players. And it needs to stop, It's mostly motivated by agents as they are the ones who frame the deals. They are complete parasites, and if they could be all be wiped out in one hit, football would see some improvement, especially o...

Re: I've lost count - Embargos, HMRC Payent defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

Being heavily suggested on Twitter that Savage has a clause on his deal that sees him get a payrise after 15 league starts. He has 14. His dad was asked on 606 directly if there was something contractual preventing Charlie from starting again. He dodged the question in a very meandering way to sugg...

Re: Did the protest do what it intended?

I’ve had various friends contact me in the last 24 hours to ask what is happening at Reading and was stopped in the street today by people I don’t know wanting to find out more about it (as I had a Reading cap on). So based on that small sample the abandonment has led to a hundred fold level of incr...

Re: Confrimed - Abbey and Holmes going

Have posted the same in the rumours thread but also heard Abbey > Forest and Holmes > Luton. Holmes should be confirmed over the next few days, Abbey likely later. Hadn’t heard about the Olympiacos loan but suppose that doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things, can’t see him returning here. Abb...

Ascotexgunner Under the description on Sky for The EFL Highlights on ITV4. ..we were away at Stevenage today.

Noticed that as well - and it was pathetic coverage of the events as would be expected from that show.

Re: “ Sell before we Dai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group v2.3b sponsored by Sports Direct Tennis Ba

Imagine it would be well covered on 606 given how close Robbie is to it. Let’s hope the usual Radio Berkshire callers don’t go national. They are only allowed one external call from the mental facility they reside in so 606 are probably safe. Was good actually - they had James Earmshaw on who gave ...

Re: Do you agree with todays pitch invasion and match abandonment?

I think it was a risk as we don’t know how the EFL will respond, but given the recent escalation a risk worth taking.

Better to have no regrets than wonder what if.

Never could have imagined such an accepting football crowd for the announcement of an abandonment.
