Re: Gay Championship player about to go public....

Sad that it is even news in this day and age but that's just the way of the world I guess. Good luck to the lad, hope it encourages other players to live their lives without the fear of being outed.

Re: The generic transfer thread

Surprise from France - Nabil Fekir was a £50m target for Liverpool last summer and even pictured by the club in their kit before the deal fell apart. Arsenal wanted him too but all that must have cooled, as he's gone to Real Betis for £19.7m. Which looks an absolute steal. He has no knees though wh...

Re: Matt Miazga

3points don't get it having signed Morrison. Can't believe any of Moore, Morrison or Miazga will be happy being 3rd choice

Who says Gomes isn't going to go 3 at the back this season? I wouldn't be against that to be honest. McIntyre and Blackett as back up CB's.

Re: Matt Miazga

It is an incredible coup to get Miazga back, he is far superior to us in every way and I can only think the warm response he got whilst he was here last season has made him push to come back here.

Re: Any more out the door?

Think McCleary and Gunter will go but nearer deadline day. They can both do a job in the Championship and could still command a decent wage. Meyler will be much harder to offload. On big wages and would no doubt have to take a cut to move somewhere, can't see him doing that to be honest.

Re: The Local Journo Thread

One87One Kudos to Courtney. Called both Miazga and Adam. Both to be announced tomorrow morning.

JLow nowhere to be seen as usual, waiting for the club email to post...

Re: CONFIMRED - Charlie Adam

I will give any new signing a chance, it's the right thing to do but I have so much pessimism towards this one. Seems like the signing of a club desperate for bodies who know a relegation scrap is ahead of them. David Meyler, Stephen Quinn, Dave Edwards and now Charlie Adam. Not a single 30+ year o...

Re: Matt Miazga

Would think Miazga and Chelsea would be of the opinion that coming back here for a relegation scrap would do nothing for the player. Really? Would have thought he’d get quite a lot of practise at defending personally. Which isn't a test for him against a Millwall or Wigan. Would have thought the pl...

Re: Matt Miazga

Would think Miazga and Chelsea would be of the opinion that coming back here for a relegation scrap would do nothing for the player, he is better than us. He should be playing lower end Premier League/semi decent European league imo. I know it didn't work out for him at Nantes but in the 2nd half of...

Re: Will Gomes stay?

No way Gomes will walk away from a decent contract. Only way I see him going is if another club come in for him such as Sheffield Wednesday or a European side. I wouldn't blame him in the slightest for doing it if an offer came in. We would then end up with Parky who will try and get the team to hoo...

Re: The generic transfer thread

Winston Biscuit the person you definitely want in your squad when you are facing a really tough season, where you could be right up against it and may well lose more games than you win is Ravel Morrison

They may as well go the whole hog and sign Nile Ranger too.

BR0B0T How is TAA still on the pitch?

Would have been sent off had Newcastle failed to score in that phase of play.

Re: The Non - League thread

Bracknell were horrific and can have no complaints. Need a bigger, more physical side and fitter defenders. Cheshunt had a 6'8 striker who killed them all game long. Impressive.

Re: Next season

Looking at the teams coming down Fulham, Cardiff, Huddersfield, and those coming up Luton, Barnsley +1 do not look as strong as last season Hopefully we can at least get mid table Thanks for keeping up your streak of making a completely pointless thread. You've had a great season. How would you rat...
