Re: FA Cup Changes

It comes down to what one thinks is best..

30 mins to try and win the game (you)

a guaranteed replay (the entire football pyramid below the top 6)

Yes, i'm being hyperbolic

Re: FA Cup Changes

I think the thing being missed is that in a game that is a draw after 90 minute, the current system guarantees more revenue (and a day out, visit from a big club etc etc) for the smaller club (the replay) Whereas the proposed system means they could well, and likely will, (due to fitter/deeper squad...

Re: FA Cup Changes

People need to think less about the money the odd replay makes against a big PL team, and more about the magic of small teams actually getting through, at which point they will play bigger teams who made it through. Its possible teams that avoid replays and go through will make more money than from...

Re: FA Cup Changes

That's why we have league formats to establish the best team. The more times you play each other, the closer you will get to working out who is the best. and why do we have cup formats? Possibly so a small club can have their well earned day in the sun against a much bigger team Anyway RIP the FA c...

We’re you in the Rovers end?

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol Rovers (a)

Totally dominant first half, then apparently decided it would be fun to allow them to grow into it after half time. 2 crucial blocks/saves (couldn’t tell from the other end) kept us clear and we saw out the rest of the game relatively comfortably. Good noise from the Reading lot, not a peep out of R...

Re: Bristol Rovers (A) - DATE SUBJECT TO CHANGE

I asked for it to be collected at Bristol Rover's stadium, not sure how that works if I wanted to sell it on. I've actually just managed to get one from the ticket office. They might refund you as there are still loads on the waiting list apparently I'll give them a call, better to give them a chan...

Re: Bristol Rovers (A) - DATE SUBJECT TO CHANGE

So I foolishly agreed to buy a ticket when the club called me due to being on the waiting list but looked at train times and I don't think I'll be able to get back to Fleet after the game, so that was a waste of money. I'll buy it off you.. I asked for it to be collected at Bristol Rover's stadium,...

Re: Season Tickets 24/25

Nice little bonus in the form of renewal rates for those that bought the mini-season ticket for the last 3 games. Sure this will not please some full holders though. If it gets more people buying full STs for next season, I am all for it. 95% sure I'll renew for next year. I've just bought one for ...

Should be between Bindon and Wing for me, with the former just edging it..

The others in with a shout have gone missing more often that those two for my money.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Northampton Town (h)

I thought he actually made reasonable calls on a lot of the grumbles. The Azeez break he has to call back because its come off him. Then I'm going to trust the lino that Femi strayed offside, given he's johnny on the spot and none of the people round me could have had a clue whether he was off or n...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Northampton Town (h)

Hound Referee comically inept. Where do they find them?

2 of the worst decisions I’ve seen on a football field since Bodin getting sent off instead of Davies.

Not to mention the 4th, who twice got in the way of players trying to take quick throws.
