https://i.imgur.com/HMBExeH.png lmao I know I've always been against the idea in men's football but there really should be a pre qualifying tournament in Women's football. Not sure how Latvia benefit from losing 20-0. There certainly isn't the same argument of the financial benefits of playing the ...

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

City dont strike me as a team particulalrly prepared to carry anyone. Had Ronaldo gone there, I couldn't see him being anything other than an impact sub.

United signing him struck me as a sop to a restless fan base.

Re: European Leagues Thread 2012/2013

The issue with Middlesbrough was that they didn't give enough notice. That was because of an injury crisis. It was a daft decision even then but these days with a global pandemic of a highly infectious desease capable of infecting a whole squad in a matter of hours, it's madness from the Portugese F...

Re: European Leagues Thread 2012/2013

Belenenses had 17 players unavailable due to Covid so named all available players in the starting lineup.

Someone high up at the Portugese FA needs sacking for insisting the game went ahead. That's sort of shit only happens in Sunday League.

If you can’t be happy that your team won on a Saturday afternoon, regardless of who the manager is, then maybe you should find something else to do. I can’t believe I’m saying this… but I ge...

Birmingham don't have a sell on clause for Bellingham but would get a development fee. Think they missed a trick there.

She looked like an octopus flagging a taxi.

Harries was what, 3yds onside? There was even a handly white line running across the pitch. As RoyalBlue said, if she'd kept on running she had a more than decent chance of getting in a challenge or covering the goal line.

Re: Out of Contract 2022

I think Hoilett offers experience and some genuine width. I don't necessarily see him as a regular starter but he offers options off the bench and is more than good enough to be a squad player.

Re: Out of Contract 2022

Revisiting this 2 months down the line I'd say Rafael - release Luke Southwood definitely offer new contract or at very least take up option Defenders Resign Holmes and Yiadom Don't think we can afford to have 2 aging CBs so sign one of Morrison or Dann. Heart says Morrison, head says Dann Don't rea...

Re: Points Deduction Incoming!

Derby fans seem a bit salty. Apparently we've cheated the system but have got away with it because we're rich whilst they've been victims of an accounting technicality and been hammered because they're poor. Funny how we've gone from "tinpot" to "one of the big clubs" in the spac...

What pisses he off is that when Man City breached FFP and got punished, they had the muscle to lawyer their way out of it.

Re: Andy Carroll

I think its a well structured signing. It will cost us about £70,000, we get a player who could potentially tear up this league, he gets a shop window ahead of the transfer window.

Re: Former Newcastle United forward Andy Carroll has joined Championship side Reading.

Yep, they got rid of it because it was only Cat 2 or 3 and they couldn't compete for players with the half dozen Cat 1 academies within 40 miles of them. Assuming we have the same restrictions as the summer then signing Andy Carroll on a 2 month contract is going to cost us about £70,000. The Brizzl...

Re: Rival Watch

Really? Don’t remember exactly but Fulham were on a good run of form and Pompey had an FA Cup final the week after. Most of the signs pointed to an away win No one really anticipated Pompey throwing the game by putting out their reserves. Fair bit of anger afterwards. At least that was my recollect...
