Re: #SellBeforeWeDai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group

A lot of their statements have been classic heart over head type messaging, the type where you really need to pass it to someone who isn't emotionally invested to proof read it, so they can tell you what you should have written instead. It's been dreadfully idealistic and "ideas above our stati...

Still an owner after SJM Owner with SJM. My memory is a little more testing these days, but didn’t the club return to SJM’s full ownership when Zinga couldn’t complete the purchase ? I believe that is indeed the case. IIRC, TSI bought a 51% stake and had to complete a full purchase within a specifi...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

I suspect the Wycombe owner is like the sterotypical women shopper...... Spends £22m on something you don't need and announces they've saved £28m because it was in the sale, then never uses it and ends up giving it to the charity shop a year later. I'd liken it to blowing your inheritance on a Ferr...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Oh,I know it's all speculation but it's never made sense that it's Wycombe or a benefactor of them, the scale is all wrong. If it had been Fulham or even Brentford, you'd think it kind of makes sense. Also, if I was Couhig, I'd never have acknowledged that protests had any impact on the decision to ...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

I'm also bemused as to how Wycombe could make it work financially, it's worth 3 times as much as the club. Given the limitations on use. I wonder if they planned to rent it out as event space in the summer. Certainly under UEFA FFP rules money spent on infrastructure, youth development or training ...

What's in it for him, though. As a gateway into club ownership at Wycombe maybe but I don't really see how it makes any financial sense with the planning limitations in place.

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Isn't the Georgian bloke who was supposedly funding the purchase the prospective new owner of Wycombe? His purchase of them has been dragging on.

Wouldn't surprise me if there are complications with him passing the director's test.

Maybe not one of our best managers but there's not many I respect more than him for the job he's done here.

It wouldn't suprise me if he goes on to become a very successful manager.

Re: Weekend Football

An interesting article. 'Premier League teams are on pace to score about 200 extra goals this season, compared to the average of the previous 15 seasons' https://www.espn.com/soccer/insider/story/_/id/39761156/why-premier-league-pace-break-goals-scored-record Quite an interesting read but isn't it ...

Re: Anyone For Chinese?

The current stadium is in dire state of repair; leaking roofs, rust, brick work crumbling, drab concrete interior, etc; thus is going to require a good level of investment. Location has always been its achilles heel, but not sure the stadium is as bad as that. 26 years old and yep, a new lick of pa...

Re: Anyone For Chinese?

I'm not sure there's a site big enough to build a new stadium in the town centre. It's not just the footprint of the stadium that you have to consider so it's a complete non starter IMO.

He’s joined the Cheltenham forum? How do you know?

The Bolton Nuts lot were talking about it. The Cheltenham forum banned him for being a tiresome, trolling oaf.

Interesting read for those people who thought Friday night's demo at Wycombe was a wasted effort https://www.bucksfreepress.co.uk/sport/24200475.reading-fc-protest-a-reason-behind-bearwood-pull/ I'm confident the planning permission was front and centre with Dai's bullshit 2nd. Yeah, it's a handy e...
