Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

As noted above, Zygi and Mark Wilf (brothers and co-owners of the Minnesota Vikings) are an East Coast family (New York/New Jersey and Florida) and would not be referred to as "West Coast investors". There is no shortage of "West Coast investors" over here, many of which have so...

Re: The Magic Number Thread

Football Maths, Love it.

Fingers crossed we're doing it at the other end of the table next season trying to work out how many points we need to stop teams catching us.

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

What was noticeable was that the tone of the interactions on the forums were considerably less agressive towards each other than today; a sign of the times I guess....... I was just thinking the same thing, even on the older forum things were generally civil, even though you didn't have to register...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Yup. Royalmail was great for its time. Graham published one of my posts as a match report and people were truly impressed - "you're on the internet!" ;-) We had a crackdown at the place I was working back then on external emails after some of the sales force were found receiving pornograp...

Re: Season Tickets 24/25

I'm going to leave it as late as I can, might have some more good news about the takeover by then. Also will pay by credit card as easier to let them sort out a refund if Dai does a runner with all the ticket sales money leaving me with nothing. Season ticket holders will have their seats reserved u...

Crusader Royal And HNA wasn’t even the original online forum for RFC fans…. Pioneering !
Name one older?

Think I joined on here around 1993, I was also on the Royalmail mailing list (emails) and the icq chat (messenger service)

Well I don’t need to as you have done it yourself !
Do they count as online forums?

Re: Have your go at being ITK

I was speaking to my work contacts at HMRC and they've said we paid the tax on time this month. They were able to tell me this because HMRC lets all members of staff no matter which team they work in have a look at any taxpayers records, at any time they want. My contacts in DCMS told me Reading ar...

Re: Have your go at being ITK

A source tells me they spoke to someone at the club who says they don't have a clue what's going on or even how to do their job in these circumstances, I think they said their source was someone called Dayong Pang.

72 bus Disband the police and the courts, survival of the fittest/strongest is the way forward after all, that was the way we moved on from being monkeys.
yeah but we moved on to being cavemen, which for most of us would be a step backwards.

Forbury Lion Hopefully next season the magic number will be linked to staying in the promotion/playoff spots rather than avoiding relegation

Hopefully there is a next season.

Yeah, this.
Magic number then being the number of days the club needs to survive to have another season?

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Thing i dont understand about the failed Bearwood sale takes on here is, the planning permission said it was for the personal use of RFC. Ok, so all you have to do if you want to buy the training ground is ask the owner of the training ground to apply for a variation of that planning permission to ...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

I suspect the Wycombe owner is like the sterotypical women shopper...... Spends £22m on something you don't need and announces they've saved £28m because it was in the sale, then never uses it and ends up giving it to the charity shop a year later.

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

Royalcop Hopefully we can arrange a stadium beam-back of Dai’s eventual show trial in Beijing a la the Brentford away game; I’d definitely pay to see it.
He may seek asylum in the UK.... if this was all part of his plan to win us all over, If so he's failed.

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Won't somebody please think of the footballers! If you put it into context If one of us earns more than a nurse we are likely to live a more expensive lifestyle than a nurse - have a bigger mortgage, have more kids, have a more expensive car on lease, that sort of thing. Maybe if you expect to earn...

Snowflake Royal Forbes, why the hell do you keep resurrecting old threads no one cares about anymore?

If the post is older then 3 weeks, just don't approve it, or mark it done no action if its a report.

Re: The run in.

Bottom of the playoffs, played more than all of our rivals and have the hardest run in. Doesn’t look great but stranger things have happened. I would say that’s it for us. A shame as we have been in the top six all season. But we only have ourselves to blame, losing to ten man Wycombe, Birmingham d...
