Re: redknapp tax evasion - trial begins january

Be interesting to see what his defence is. My guess (based on snippets I've read of the trial) is he'll try to blame Mandaric by claiming he thought Milan had already paid the tax before it was transferred into his account - either that, or, as Zac says, "he forgot".

Re: Kebe signs new contract till 2014

Jimmy Kebe? Pfffff. Only gets adored because of the absolute dross we have in reserve. Bring back Glen Little. When you've been used to watching Gielgud play Lear at the Old Vic, you can't really get excited about Shane Ritchie as Buttons at the Hexagon. Bit of an obvious Michelen-starred cookery/P...

Re: League Cup

I don't remember that it does. Perhaps you're seeing the supports at the back of the stands.

Anyway, quite impressed by Scannell & Zaha. Not the finished article but quite promising

Z175 Samuelsons involvement is a good thing. He made millions in 1900s Russia, and has strong links with billionaires.
we better get on with it then as hes likely to drop dead at any moment.

Rev Algenon Stickleback H Let's face it. We aren't in Portsmouth's boat, desperate for a saviour.

If it turns out that there's no money then what have we lost? A bit of egg on face for Madejski, but that's it.

Providing that point is reached before the deal is done.

My worry is that he's another Sulaiman Al-Fahim. Seemingly deep pockets, but no real worth and these "investors" turn out to not exist or disappear when the going gets tough.

Re: Thames Sports Investment

I suspect these investors will be on the same page though and voting together on any decisions. As Anton says, he's got a business plan that they have bought into. But it does leave room for future growth. As Reading grow Anton can go find Investors with bigger pockets, as the team is more attracti...

Re: Other clubs reactions.

The trouble is that most other clubs' messageboards appear to have at least as many belmonts as we do . I thought that the Everton one might have some useful insight, bearing in mind their brief history with Anton Z, but it very quickly degenerated into abusing their chairman... Does Kes post on th...

This thread is fvcking hilarious lads, well done! I just don't know why everyone on here who has so much inside info didn't mention this before, surely you were all present at negotiations? Have a look at their definition of interfering with an opponent and then decide whether the ref and his assistant made the right call. They give the example of two players running towards the ball, one in an offside position, one not, and specifically say that this is not offside and should not be ...
