our money back plus £2m. step forward pearce (better) and the young and promising morrison and with it more pace in the back four. i like mills, he shows a lot of promise but he still makes far to many mistakes, lunges into too many needless challenges and gives away needless free-kicks. his ...

I just can't see it, I just can't see it as his scene at all. I'd think most likely he'd look to go to London or abroad.

Slating Shane Long worked. Slating Ian Harte worked. Slating Jimmy Kebe worked.

Could next season be a big one for Simon Church?

oxf*rd church, poor excuse for a footballer, can't run, can't kick, I can't see why he's collecting wages! FFS get rid. etc

I think we also need to say, "Church ...

Re: The State Of The Team In February 2011 & Going Forward

Bearing in mind we're top half of the Championship going forward means trying to get promoted and trying to stay up there for at least three seasons this time.

Who's capable of doing this for us?

- Feds
- Cummings - maybe
- Pearce - maybe
- Mills
- Kebe
- Mcanuff
- Long - maybe

Too early to ...

Re: Your Fav 3 Reading goals EVER

I liked James Harper's goal away at Palace in the Championship year.

Not sure why really - night game, Andy Johnson had scored and run in front of the Reading fans, and the team just went "yeah, the thing is guys, we're just really fcking good okay?" and proceeded to smash in a thumping equaliser ...

Re: Lee Hendrie on trial at Reading FC

This makes no sense, first McDermott says he was played out of position on the wings and how he is a very good central midfielder, and now he says we don't want him because we have players in central midfield.

I think there's more to this.

I don't see why Brian McD's comments are difficult to ...

Barnsley H = Win
Doncaster A = Win
Plymouth H = Win
Crystal Palace A = Win
Blackpool A = Lose
Newcastle H = Draw
Sheff Wed H = Win
Scunthorpe A = Win

A dead cert 19 points out a possible 24. Score few. All scrappy golas and the occasional penalty that goes in. Concede virtually nothing, but let in ...

Re: Khizanishvili signs on loan

Here's a quote from the Times about players playing for more than two clubs (note the word 'playing' - seems irrelevant whether this is on loan or not). I hope RFC have got this figured out - I'm all for taking calculated risks, but i'm not sure this is a good one?? It would be normal to get docked ...

Re: Khizanishvili signs on loan

I thought players could only play competitive games for max two clubs during a season: this guy's played for Newcastle (league) and Blackburn (cups). I don't get it.[/quote]

However... he's not done badly: in the Championship team of the year a couple of seasons ago, England U20, called up for Scotland but deemed ineligible to play. Not a bad profile at all.

Re: Bottom 3

Indeed, soccerbase says he played for Barnsley when Sheffield United last was in the Premiership.

so, in easy English, he played for Sheff Utd when they were in the championship.

Yeah yeah OK OK - the point is this: Howard is not relegation standard. He should be at least play-off standard, no ...
