Re: SpuROFLs

The last 4 games have been awful granted, but before that, he'd taken the most points out of anyone in the league bar Klopp since his appointment. Let's not forget he's without Spurs' only two world-class players. I'm no Mourinho fanboy but there are big mitigating circumstances here. For me it’s a...

Re: SpuROFLs

It was already toxic at Spurs long before Mourinho arrived. They're in complete shambles, but honestly, I don't think you can blame this one on Jose. That’s fair I suppose, it was in decline from about this time last season. He was brought in in November to fix things though and they just seem to h...

Re: SpuROFLs

No excuse for Dier’s behaviour and I think it shows just how bad things have got, both for the club and, more importantly, on a personal level for Dier. This is a sign that he’s snapped and although he will have to face some form of ban and punishment it looks to me like he needs some support from S...

Re: CheLOLsea

The Chelsea fans main criticism of Lampard seems to that during games he’s far too predictable and isn’t using the resources he does have very well. Granted the kids were unlikely to be able to keep up their early season form, but he’s also got a fair collection of experienced players who he seems t...

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

England does not need 92 professional football clubs (more if you include the National League) and it is about time the structure was looked at. Should Macclesfield have a football club? yes Does it need to be fully professional? No tbf it looks increasingly like a North-West problem - namechecked ...

Re: Man CitHEHEHE

Journalist Neil Lipton has said there is zero chance the PL will deduct points. Which is crazy, because they either broke the rules or didn't. I'm not sure, but are the rules different for Uefa and the Premier League? One thing I did hear today is that City are being hit hard because of their decep...

Re: Man CitHEHEHE

Does this mean 5th place gets a spot? I believe it's at the choice of the FA as they get to choose how their spots are allocated out. Wouldn't surprise me if they gave it to the FA Cup winners. From what Martin Lipton was saying on TalkSport yesterday lunchtime City will undoubtedly appeal it and t...

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

A fair amount of chat on TalkSport and some of the papers over the last few days, and last week, about Pochettino taking over in the summer and a number of young players on their wanted list. Seems to be a concerted effort to link the likes of Grealish, Maddison (albeit less than previously) and no...

Re: The Non - League thread

Old Man Andrews It was the quality of football and attendance drop off that did for the previous manager. Attendances fell by 40%.

Not buying that attendance angle I’m afraid, that just sounds like an excuse to me.

Re: The Non - League thread

Out of interest if Bracknell Town won their league play offs would they look into ground sharing next season given the Lane isn’t up to Isthmian Premier standards? They would have to, yes. They really don't want to do this so promotion isn't really wanted until they have their new ground sorted out...

Re: The Non - League thread

Four Of Clubs I also think they have Adam Cornell in their front line too - recently moved over from Bracknell links up with other recent ex-Robin and Rebel winger Joe Grant.

And centre half Joe Gator too.

Frome Town 2-0 Thatcham Town att 394 - leaders Frome pull 5 pts clear. Thatcham do have 2 games in hand - though have lost 2 in a row - their first league setbacks this season. This was abandoned after about 70 minutes so will be replayed and Thatcham remain unbeaten (unless something has changed).

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

No Virgil definitely made the defence seem a bit shakier than it has. As much as they've prioritised this over the rumbelows cup I don't think they're going all out and will just hope to avoid any injuries Agreed, they're rotating for this trip and not playing playings who might not be 100% who pro...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

And it will be interesting to see how bothered they are in this daft tournament. If I was Klopp I’d be getting the players geared up for the Leicester game and treating Qatar as friendlies. Listening to the radio the other day , apparently this is considered to be the ultimate prize by the South Am...

Re: The Non - League thread

Not sure where else to put this, but apparently (I heard it on TalkSport earlier) the England Women's captain has said how she doesn't really like watching women's football but loves to sit down and watch a mens game.

Not really the kind of soundbite women's football is after.

Old Man Andrews Geoff Warner leaves Bracknell Town again. Groundhog day.

I feel a bit sorry for Geoff, they've booted him out twice in 6 months now and I know how much he likes the club.

Another manager bites the dust at Bracknell!

According to their statement Tally was only an interim. Did he know that?

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

Lovely to see Steve Bruce making the Toon Army, and a number of his doubters, eat their words by having Newcastle in a pretty decent position. I'm not sure how it compares to Rafa's league positions at this stage in proceedings but it can't be far off if not better than most of his campaigns, and t...
