Ie can he tie his own laces and does his wife have to make sure his underwear is on the right way round to he studied English literature at a Masters level in his spare time. would be interesting whether this h...

Apparently the real Jaap Staam isn't Jap Stam at all. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/52767875 "Jaap Stam: FC Cincinnati announce new manager with photo of someone else" I’m sure the American razzmatazz will love his exciting style of play Well at least their number of shut outs ...

Re: Coronavirus outbreak

Because they are freezing samples then batch analysing them, the results will too late to be of any clinical use. They could tell you that you had it today in a year's time Not that late ... it's more likely in a few weeks or a month's time; and the samples are also anonymised as is standard practi...

Re: Best Reading FC performances in your lifetime

Reading 3: 2 Crystal Palace in the 2005/6 season - including the Lita overhead kick

And then first game in the Prem vs Middlesborough - overturning a 0:2 deficit.

Re: Coronavirus outbreak

I have to say that I continue to think that the fear over this COVID-19 issue is overdone. I have just checked the Gov flu report which details flu deaths for the four years from 2014/15 through to 2017/18. An average of 21,155 died in the UK during these four years from flu including sadly a numbe...

Re: Coronavirus outbreak

I have evidence that the UK actively does not want to know how many cases of coronavirus there are - my friend's wife has MS and had to take her to hospital this week with what seemed like the usual symptoms, but they did not test her. The reason seems to be that if they test her and she turns out p...

Re: Coronavirus outbreak

Until yesterday I didn't know anyone who had it, now today I suddenly find out several have it or have recovered from what they think was it - from their description it sounds completely like it. Short of breath, high temperature, cough, feeling like death ... this includes a neighbour of mine who g...

Re: Coronavirus outbreak

I think we’ll not see the rest of the games played. Even going behind closed doors is problematic if teams have players ill. If it is cancelled then promotion and relegation have to be declared null and void. Titles should still be awarded to teams currently top. I hope no one is top by virtue of h...

Re: Best signing of the summer window?

Has Rafael really been that impressive? I am not doubting his ability or the fact he is a steady pair of hands but I just don't think he has won us too many games, Fulham away is the only one I can think of. I think there are a few goals he could have done a bit better with too. For me it has to be...

Re: BFTG Sheff U FB

I thought Obita had a good game actually - can’t quite work out on the 2nd goal whose error that was - possibly him. But he’s playing some lovely balls in to Puscas and some nice crosses as well There were three things. Firstly Rinomhota is on the floor and United brutally expose that space. Second...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sheffield United (h) sponsored by the magic of the cup

tidus_mi2 These commentators don't half have a boner for Sheff Utd.

well as you'd expect they know more about the Prem team ... but if you think these are so bad, they're still 100 times better than the reading commentators normally are .... I prefer listening to their Sheff Utd bias than the usual drivel.

Re: Rival Watch

Old Man Andrews
URZZZZ All gone pear(s) shaped for Boro this season

Wonder if their fans regret hounding Pulis out now

Doubt it. Would go as far as to say relegation is a more attractive option than watching Pulis-ball all season long.

Talking to a Boro friend of mine Woodgate-ball hasn't been much fun either ...

Re: Bone Marrow

Having started this thread asking for his return, thinking about it more I'm now not so fussed. Not because I don't think he'd walk into the squad or make us better, but because if he doesn't want to be here and won't sign beyond end of contract there's no point (and even if he does sign, he's alre...
