Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (a) sponsored by the need not ot lose

One of my favourite games ever was our Elm Park clash against Bolton in late 90s where Quinn was in goal but we still won 3-2

My confrontation with and goading of angry northern troglodites after the match made my year.

Where's Morley when you need him?

Bring it!!!!!!

Re: BFTG Derby (A)

Aluko was never a poor player, he was used in the wrong position as I said a long time ago, now he's being asked to play more central, he's playing a lot better, it wasn't rocket science. However, his attitude was poor and that was my biggest gripe with him, not his actual ability Yeah I think you'...

Re: BFTG Derby (A)

What a shit performance. 1- maybe people will believe me this time when i say Barrow was a constant threat. Wtf was he subbed??? I counted 4 glorious balls in plus his constant running and irritation. 2- we have NO firepower. All those balls and nothing on the end of them. FFS. That's right RFC just...

Re: CONFIMRED José Gomes

Two words, IMO, "driving forward" More words. More players will carry the ball when there's space, and very often at space. Rhino, most games, McCleary this weekend It seems they are rekindling the Williams factor but not with just one player. Not sure if other sides are setting up differ...

Re: BFTG Forest Home

He was involved in other good moves as well as the assist, but unfortunately invariably made the wrong decision or executed it poorly. Straight off the top of my head there was: First half - his shot from outside the box in a central position which the goalie made a meal of by palming round the pos...

Re: BFTG Forest Home

Maneki Neko constantly amazed by how different people can view the same events so differently
but then I guess that's pretty much this whole board/all football discussion

That's right. As long as opinions are shared with respect, understanding, flowers, snowflakes etc...

Re: BFTG Forest Home

Thought Barrow did very little. Probably our worst player. Apart from the brilliant run and assist for the goal we scored, he was a constant threat, balls put through to him using his pace. He was a constant menace. I'll give you the assist - but really a menace throughout the game? I'm clearly mis...

Re: BFTG Forest Home

The team - tenacity spirit AND flair all evident. We walked all over them for 85mins. Speechless. Reminds me of the most Nigel Adkins comment ever. Apparently he was once asked what the biggest room in his house was, to which he replied; “The room for improvement”. God he really was a twat. H...

Barrow - absolutely terrorised them. Wtf on right wing? Gomes spot on there! Are you for real? Thought Barrow did very little. Probably our worst player. Barrow - absolutely terrorised them. Wtf on right wing? Gomes spot on there! Richards - only mentioning him because the stick I’ve given him. He did good. Gomes - whatever he’s saying ir doing is working Cards - a shame really because we’d have won without. The team - tenacity spirit AND flair all e...

Re: JOSE GOMES' BARMY ARMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haha. Sad it may sound I might actually prefer Bodin over any left back option bar Obita we've had in the last few years. And I used to sing the "you got tackled by Bodin, lalalal!" every game haha. Ok maybe that's OTT. I'd certainly not mind Steve Swales or Even Andy Gurney back. That's ...

Re: Clear out started

Some of the responses don't surprise me at all. Frankly disgustingly embarrassing.

All the best Mannone, I hope you do well wherever you go and sorry things have turned out the way they have.

Re: RUMOUR - Lewis baker

Good as he may be... is this Stamgate all over again FFS!? When we're crying out for a striker Stam brings in midfielder after oxf*rd midfielder. Now one place we DON'T need bolstering is midfield. Yeah it'd be nice, as would any position, but we've already signed Ovie and we're now eyeing up anoth...

Re: CONFIMRED José Gomes

If we average just 1.1 ppg, gain 22 points ( including beating Rotherham ) we ought to finish above them on GD at least. I honestly think 1.2 points per game might be enough provided we don't lose to Rotherham. That's some improvement in form. Trouble is we struggle against teams. Fixed. You beat m...

Re: Clear out started

I'm really disappointed about how Mannone has been treated. Whilst technically correct we can do what we like with our players and it's a good idea to separate first teamers from moaners, get them off the wage bill etc, poor old Mannone has had a tough time. He's not only lost his mum. he had alread...
