Re: Simon Cox attracting top flight interest

Is Simon Cox still at Reading............? General Football. FFS PUTTING THAT IS SO OXF*RDING POINTLESS!!!!! SPECULATION - Juris Laizans

Aging defensive midfielder currently playing for Shinnik Yaroslavl. Strong in the tackle and a good leader. Would be interested in a move. 6 month loan? I have him play for his last club, Kuban or something like that, and I've seen him for Latvia- 80 caps. Would be a good addition to the squad, even...

Re: Will Reading FC do the honourable thing?

What would be honourable about that. Ref gave us a non-goal, then denied us a penalty. They got draw they probably wouldn't have got, but for that goal. All square. Plus there was Bikey's goal disallowed. Why don't we let them have a goal, then they can give us one, then the ball boys can dribble o...

Re: Leroy signs!!

Ian Royal I'm pretty sure players have a right to refuse a loan as well.

Correct, they have to sign a loan contract, and they can't be forced to sign it.

Re: £35,000 week loan signing on his way to Reading FC!

Tottenham have not had their fair share of quality at left back. Lee pyo (spelling), essou ekkoto (spelling), Bale (who should have turned out to be a good signing), and possibly Shorey (who has totally lost it since he played for England). I think Lee's in Holland. Assou-Ekoto iirc. Both utter tri...

Re: How can we make a good match day buzz at the Mad stad?

When visiting other grounds I often notice a big match day buzz about the place, but not so with Reading. Now I'm not singling Reading out here as there are a lot of clubs in the same boat. For instance - matchday at The Emirates, Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge, West Ham etc......there are a lot of ...

Re: Murty out on loan......

Murty in 05/06 was probably our best right back to date. Team of the Millenium, and that was his best season IMO (helped that every other player was amazing and he had such a great right winger ahead of him).

No reason why Rosie or a future player can't pass him ofc.

Re: Kebe or Henry?

Steve Claridge in the Guardian says of Henry... I first watched James Henry when he was on loan at Bournemouth, along with fellow Reading loanee Alex Pearce. When Bournemouth asked for permission to play both in the FA Cup, Reading allowed Pearce to play but refused Henry. I stopped reading there. ...

Re: Noel Hunt feature in today's Times

Slow news day sees Russell Kempson churn out another couple of hundred words about Reading. Interesting point though about SHunt saying he lost his footing. I don't think he's ever said that directly. It was a penalty. Cech tripped him. We could've been in Europe  If we'd have applied for the...

Re: Watford on Friday...

Watford- the most consistently boring side to ever play at the madejski, to top it off the coldest day of the season, couldn't be more fitting. Actually, the game won't be boring at all. The last time they played here (if i'm not mistaken) they won 2-0. The game in September was exciting yet debata...

Re: How to Stop Reading

It takes more than knowing how we play to beat us. They could analyze how to stop the "big four" by keeping the ball. Easier said than done. Arsenal = kick lumps out of them Liverpool = stop Gerrard United- kick Ronaldo Chelsea- play Kayode Odejayi up front Edit: As for the article, very ...

Re: Leroy signs!!

Couldn't see this anywhere, and didn't want to start ANOTHER Leroy thread... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/norwich/7808124.stm Clearly a non-runner for a variety of reasons. Forces Norwich to stump up the cash if they want Leroy. And in the audio interview with Roeder he also say...

Re: Fielding "weakened" teams in the FA Cup

All I'll say on this is, I understand why Coppell does it but I certainly don't agree with it, or even agree with the need for it. As it happens we got our comeuppance and it was refreshing to see so many other clubs taking the cup games seriously and putting pretty much full strength sides out. Th...
