Re: RFC to become the 4th...

...oldest club in the League (PL + EFL), following the relegation of Notts County last weekend. Stoke City will become the oldest next season, followed by Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday. Chesterfield's relegation from the EFL a year ago had moved Reading up to 5th (although Chesterfield'...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Birmingham City (h) sponsored by Timbuk 3

URZZZZ Bod not there either, neither mcshane

McIntyre played Friday. I think the thinking from Gomes was he didn’t need two CBs on bench and he wanted to give O’Shea a final run out

McShane is injured according to JLow, and Bod is made of glass so probably injured again...

Re: Rival Watch

Brentford awarded 1-0 win over Bolton Apparently a first in Football League history that a game has been cancelled. Can only imagine this will only lead to them getting a pretty hefty penalty (if there is still a club to penalise). Comes about because the stadium has lost it's safety certificate ag...

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

So the PFA have again loaned money to Bolton to cover outstanding wages so games will go ahead. There's something wrong about all of this, Bassini turns up at EFL yesterday to prove he has funds for the takeover but obviously cannot as the deadline has been extended. I really hope the EFL throw the ...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

What sort of imbecilic twat brings up Heysel/Hillsborough/Munich etc out of the blue? A guy got pushed into a fountain, ffs. Moronic behaviour, but what happened to context? The context is that more than one person was pushed into a fountain, one being an old man who they then called Mr Miyagi beca...

Re: The League of 4

windermereROYAL I would feel a little sorry for Rotherham if we hadn`t been in a dogfight with them over most of the season, decent bunch of fans and a team that punch above their weight in the shadows of Leeds and the Sheffield teams.

Agree - much rather Millwall had gone down

Yep - I remember posting Leeds after 3 games and was worried 106 was under threat :D

Think they hammered Stoke and Derby first 2 games who were among the pre-season favourites

Re: MATCHWATCH : Middlesbrough (a) sponsored by Jordan Holsgrove's dad

Found that quite frustrating. Could easily have won it with Meite and / Oliveira.... McCleary failing to convert multiple good opportunities... missing clear balls forward into space, delaying getting the cross in... but we still had enough opportunities to equalise. Mind you, M'bro had plenty of t...

Re: If Bolton don't complete their fixtures

Latest BBC updated report says EFL are expecting Bolton to complete their fixtures by the end of the season and today's game would have gone ahead using youth players if the U18's hadn't played on Thursday. The issue appears to be between Anderson and Bassini rather than the EFL dilligence taking ti...

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

I think we're too far into the season to expunge results, so better to award 3-0 walkovers in the final 2 games especially as neither has a bearing on promotion or relegation. Failure to fulfill fixtures should normally lead to expulsion from the league but, as this is a player strike that is causi...

Re: The League of 4

Not quite as much If we lost 4-0 and they won 0-2 the gap would be down to 7 goals going into the last game All this is HIGHLY unlikely but Rotherham have scored more goals so need to MATCH our GD Say an early sending off at BORO and we lose 5-0 while Rotherham win... Just to say I think we will ge...

Re: Gomes after 10 League Games

This season's escape from relegation campaign feels far more satisfying than last season where quite honestly we stayed up by default with one of the lowest points totals ever. As pointed out above the performances against Ipswich and Sheff Wed at the end of the season when we were nowhere near safe...

An excellent point. Just one gripe. Was it really necessary to boo HRK.

Yep I reckon so - he made it clear we weren't a big enough club for him when he left.

Re: Rival Watch

Rotherham have to at least win 2 basically, forget goal difference, they won't make that up in the games they have left. Also, I'm not convinced their game tomorrow will be as straightforward as some are suggesting; Brum are useful and aren't quite on the beach yet...they will look at tomorrow as th...

Great result, was hardest game left today I reckon as this was a must win for Bristol with their run in.

Hope West Brom win now then they're in the play offs so will hopefully rest a couple of players on Monday

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Whilst the Mad Stad has been quiet in the past, its a common issue for teams with new all seater grounds without established singing areas etc...I've been to 8 (I think) aways this season and the atmosphere has been flat everywhere, even sides at the top. I can see other clubs looking at Club 1871 a...
