Re: The Non - League thread

Burnham 1-3 Flackwell.
Nil nil at half time. I didn’t see four goals coming at half time. The first half was a bit quiet but Flackwell stepped it up in the second half and could have gotten a couple more, Burnham’s reply was from the penalty spot.

Re: The Non - League thread

Burnham 0 Tuffley 2. Close game settled by a first half o.g and a second half pen. A bit debatable apparently but I couldn’t see from where I was stood. Burnham reduced to 10 men for a silly challenge bringing a 2nd booking, there was no contact but if there was it would have been a straight red. Ch...

Re: The Non - League thread

Cheers RR! I won’t mention it again! I spoke to a couple of players and some are definitely not happy with things. Players are turning up to training (sometimes only seven there) and then being left out for ringers. As an interesting fact or maybe not so interesting fact both Burnham keepers were ma...

Re: The Non - League thread

1-0 Win for Burnham today. The game was evenly matched and Burnham nicked it at the end. Burnham subbed their keeper at half time due to his inability to kick. The management don’t seem to be endearing themselves to some (signed on) players in favour of some ringers (confirmed to me by management). ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (a) sponsored by 12 Parkinsons

strap Blackett is possibly the biggest waste of money (£1M???) since Shaun Cummings (300k??), but then I remembered Stam pissed £3.5M on Ilori!! Hahahaha! Liverpool certainly saw Stam coming with THAT piece of genius.

No way Cummings was a waste of money.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (a) sponsored by 12 Parkinsons

I can't believe Blackett is actually wearing gloves, what a fcuking twat. He's not even good. Like remotely. He's bad. Very, very bad. John Halls>>>>>>>Tyler Blackett. Yeah i went there. You probably shouldn’t have went there. One is a right back and the other a pretend left back. Are you Jaap Stam?

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (a) sponsored by 12 Parkinsons

That minute prior to the first goal perfectly encapsulates our season so far. 1. Decent build up play leads to a chance that we just couldn’t get on the end of. 2. We don’t get anywhere near the result corner and Bolton break. 3. Blackett gives away a stupid free kick. 4. Swift goes off injured 5. ...

Are Bolton still only available to sign free transfers and only pay a max £4K a week?

Tim Dellor has gone from a giggling schoolboy getting excited about his night out in Newcastle before the Sunderland game to Strap on steroids!

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (a) sponsored by 12 Parkinsons

leon
alfie9 Blackett makes a stupid challenge, gives away a FK, Swift off injured, Clement(???) on to replace him, Clement misses the header, 1-0 Bolton.

I just have to laugh at this point.

Blackett is utter shit. Everyone knows it.

Except for the one person who decides. He must be great in training.

I know we’ve had injuries, but the inconsistency in team selection is doing my nut in.

Re: The Non - League thread

I went to see Burnham get beaten 7-0 by Bracknell. A lot of new players again for Burnham, I don’t actually think they played that poorly! Final ball for Bracknell was excellent.

Re: Board of Directors - Look away now ...

I would imagine an analysis of similar sized clubs over the same period would show a similar trend in transfer spending. I was arguing all summer that £7m for Aluko was a mad but it's how the market's going. I think you are reading a lot into the figures to suit your agenda. Stam has denied Aluko w...

Re: Jaap's Radio Comments

Booing only ever serves to piss off the players and the management, never seen the point in it. Before the booing Gunther showed no interest in getting forward. After the booing (and after Gunther remonstrating with the crowd) he was far more positive in getting forward, leading to the goal. Who`s ...

Re: Renewed pessimism/interest

Stam's side doesn't take enough risks. They don't want to lose the ball at all. They just want total possession. They should try the riskier passes, they should try to take players on, they should try to get to the byline and pull the ball back, players should be busting a gut to get forward in num...

Re: Jaap's Radio Comments

Stam should listen to the brief highlights on the Championship show, very berating of a poor Reading performance, wondering how Hull didn't secure their first away win of the season and whether any fans had stayed to see the late unexpected equaliser. I wouldn't take much notice of the championship...

Re: Jaap's Radio Comments

Does anyone here really believe we're going to win the league? After spending a whole season developing a style of play. I was optimistic that this season the team would move to a higher level of performance. No guarantee of winning but at least a more attractive/entertaining/thrilling style of foo...

royalp-we . If we are around the relegation zone after 10 games he'll be gone now

Not a chance.

I agree, this team, squad and pretty much most of the setup is built for what Stam wanted.

Re: Jaap's Radio Comments

I agree with what Stam said tonight, if you need to boo wait until the end and do it. Does anyone here really believe we're going to win the league? There certainly were boo's in the first half. As others have said we do need another striker and Stam knows that as he has previously said it, do peopl...
