Re: New Kits 2019/20

Not sure about Bournemouth's new home shirt. Can't decide if I like it or not. I guess they have tried to do something a bit different with the stripes. http://www.footballshirtculture.com/images/2020/afc_bournemouth_2020_2021_home_kit.jpg Looks like the background screen Sky News and others are di...

Re: Playoffs 2019/20

Thought the Northampton game was excellent. Both teams going at it. Cheltenham are an excellent footballing side. Very impressed. Two very different styles on show.

Re: VAR

Stranded So what happens if Sheff Utd miss out on a CL place or Europa due to malfunctioning equipment?

Or Villa stay up by a point?

Sheffield Utd miss out and Villa stay up - hope that helps.

Re: Season Ticket Refund?

Maybe its me then..... but...

ALL

and then we have a PLUS

So you get ALL and then a PLUS of the other 3 options...

Bearing in mind the other options is well into the period of the live games being shown...

but hey - maybe its me.

Re: Season Indicator

I got us finishing 7th/8th just out the play offs which I still think is optimistic. Would be nice to finish mid table though around 12th. On the relegation front this could be the most interesting part to the end of the season. Boro just look like they are ready to give up. Wigan are on the rise b...

Re: Season Indicator

John Smith
paultheroyal Luton will do the great escape, heard it here first.

Who goes at their expense, Paul?

one of Hull or Wigan. Wigan will be interesting because they were flying pre lockdown, Wigan of old will be in trouble. I think Charlton play Hull early doors - that will be interesting.

Re: The football is returning excitement-ometer

Very excited - actually looking forward to the total feast of football. Once you get your head around no crowds, the actual package being sold is quite decent. A lot at stake for a lot of clubs, I think the country will get behind the return. As for Reading, back to back wins and then perhaps 5 poin...

Re: The effect of the break

The season is very much alive - win the first 2 games and realistically only 4 points off top 8 and maybe 6 off top 6.

Anything less than 4 points and it will be just typical end of season dross.

Re: Biggest Reading FC injustices

In keeping with several threads asking people to reminisce, I'm doing one on the worst refereeing injustices we've had. 2 stick in my mind: 1) Jason McAteer not getting sent off for the penalty at Wembley. Yes, Archie should have scored and we should have won anyway, but the comeback was never on i...

Re: Players who virtually won us games/promotion/avoided relegation on their own

That season under Mark Mcgee - the football was just sublime. I remember the feeling and watching the match knowing I would be entertained and we would outplay the opposition, which happened time and time again.

Who is the "fan" who sits down in Y26 and somehow always attracts himself to the away fans? "paedo in the shorts" often rings out.

We also have a new age type of moronic fan, those that appear on social media, we truly have some absolute shockers with some great standouts.

Re: Finance

With the finances I think we have to be realistic and if we get a good offer for any of our players we have to sell, it's the only reasonable way to get out of this mess in the short term while the long term will be a reduction in the level of wages offered, even if that mean we lose players for no...
