Re: Arsenal prediction thread.

I can only see a heavy defeat, i just hope that it's not double figures and we are not at the wrong end of a record wembley defeat.

It's sad but I would be happy with a 3-1 defeat, as I would just love to be able to cheer a goal......

Re: Steve Clake - New Poll

It's Clarke out for me. Great coaches often make poor managers. The club is going to need a complete overhaul in the summer and Paul Lambert would be my first choice to do that. Bristol City, MK Dons, Preston and Swindon (hate to admit that) all look far better than us. We have fallen so far behind ...

Re: Who do you want in the Semi final (FA Cup)

Rumour has it Arsenal are delighted with this draw. If we beat Bradford in the replay, it will be a fantastic achievement for us to get the semi final of the FA cup. I for one will go and enjoy the day without the pressure of it being a play off final. I just hope that even if we get absolutely batt...

Re: Back From The Game - Wigan

That was an awful awful game, the FA Cup is papering over some serious cracks. Even going back to the 70s, I don't recall going to watch so many poor games of football. This is worse than the Tommy Burns era. In the last 2 years I can honestly count on one hand the number of games that have been wat...

Re: Clear out

I mostly agree with the opening post but in my opinion the squad has been mediocre in modern times for quite a while now, even the last Championship winning team. Unfortunately, some pretty poor decisions have left us with some pretty average players. I can honestly say that it's been ages since I r...

Re: Yakubu - SSN

Happy with this, not sure why all the negativity.

It's not like we are in a promotion push and if he scores a few goals to help move us up the table, then job done.

He can help get us to the summer and then hopefully the Clarke revolution can begin.

Re: 2015 January Transfer Window

Can't see us signing anyone to be honest. Would like to see us sign Murray , a left back and a central defender. Thought SC didn't sound too confident on BBCRB after the game. It's the same every window there's always an excuse not to sign anyone.

Re: Steve Clarke

I am pleased with this appointment and below are the views of a Baggies fan at work. Think the feelings on him are quite mixed. He did get our highest finish for many a year, highest since the Premier League started but it was basically with Roy Hodgson’s team + Lukaku. After a great first half of t...

Re: Who do you want?

I would like Tony Pulis.

Not exactly the football style I like but he knows this league and the next one and he knows how to get the defence organised.

Re: Emergency loan window

Benoit Assou Ekotto hasn't been included in the Spurs squad.

He could be a good loan option at left back, although wages would probably be a problem.

Re: Deadline Day Thread

I am pleased with our transfer business and I have no problem with the club taking a sensible approach. We were never going to spend what we received in transfer fees. I still think that we will see a left back and maybe Dean Hammond come in on loan once the loan window opens next week. I think Hamm...

My cousin seems pretty sure that he has seen Glenn Murray at the Mad Stad hotel today.

To be honest, he's not that reliable but I thought that I would share it anyway.

Re: Back in the car, soaked (Nottm Forest A)

Got absolutely drenched running back to the court house car park today. Wasn't surprised by the score given the side we put out. Cox looked unfit and overweight to me. Thought that Khul has some real quality about him. Overall had a good day and believe that our best 11 would have nothing to fear fr...

A mate who is a Pompey fan is convinced we are signing this player.

I have never heard of him, so he could be winding me up.

Re: Summer 2014 Transfer Window

If we could just get back to the way the club was run pre-Zing, minus the black hole I'd be happy with the Thais. I don't want to see big money signings. Half way decent left back and a midfielder and I'll be satisfied with the window. Completely agree with this. Also, I hope that 1 or 2 of the aca...

Re: RUMOUR - Anton Ferdinand

I am bemused that some posters on here think that we are too good for the likes of Sharpe and Ferdinand. I can see that they are both too injury prone and for that reason maybe they wouldn't be good signings but these are the sort of players I think we will be signing. Long gone are the days of us a...
