Re: Anton Ferdinand

Obviously not as good as his brother but he would do a decent job in the Championship.

Never really seemed to get his head together after the racist incident with John Terry.

Re: Buyout

I am not sure why but I feel more positive about this takeover now. My Thai friend at work says that the older lady is very well respected in his country. I wonder if we will now lift the self imposed transfer ban. The money must have been paid across and all parties are saying that it's now just do...

Re: The high's and lows of being a Reading fan......

Beating Wolves 1-0 (Pat Earles) many years a go was a real high point for me. Also, winning 3-0 at Port Vale when we won the division 4 title. Now, I am seriously thinking this will be my last season of buying a season ticket. I will probably start watching Maidenhead next season. I can't stand the ...

Re: Buyout

Well I scoffed at 10539.4 miles away's post recently but it looks as if there was a certain amount of truth to it. My worry is that if this drags on for too long the new owners will be buying a league 1 club. Our first 11 is decent but 3 of them are already injured. Looking at the other squads in th...

Re: Buyout

CW said today that he doesn't think that SB has had his interview with the FL yet. I am surprised that given the club's current predicament this hasn't happened already. There is obviously a process in place for this but I can't see why it should take so long. There seems a real danger of us getting...

Re: Buyout

If the deal has fallen through I am not sure if it would be a bad thing in the long term, as Thailand seems to have constant political problems. Short term we'd probably have to sell 2 or 3 but I have set my sights very low this season, so if we avoid relegation that will be a bonus. I just hope tha...

Re: Buyout

Do we know if the takeover with Samrit is still happening?

I would have thought that if it was off CW and JF would have picked up on it.

I hope it's just a case of the money getting here from Thailand. Albeit that could take a while.

Re: Buyout

It looks like we will have to take this coming season on the chin but then I thought that when I got my season ticket earlier in the year.

Bournemouth, Brentford and Brighton will be lording it up.

Re: Buyout

Out of interest if the deal with Samrit falls through do we have to pay back the £5m?

Re: Buyout

I hope someone from the US consortium agrees to have a kick around with the under 21s, as that could persuade SJM to accept their offer.

Re: Buyout

winchester_royal Lol, there's a reason the Italian fella has bought a club in L1 that has limited potential for expansion

Yeah, he wants to turn them into a Championship club probably passing us on the way.

Re: Buyout

My friend from Thailand thinks that moving significant sums of cash from Thailand can quite literally takes months because of all the red tape. Apparently some people over there have been caught trying to move out one large chunk of money in smaller chunks and have faced serious repercussions. I sin...
