Re: Who still thinks Reading will avoid relegation...

Based on current form, we will only survive if there are 3 worse teams than us. I think Burton will probably go down but I can't say that we won't be joining them. As mentioned previously on this topic the next 4 games will be crucial. Personally, I don't see us getting more that 2 points from those...

Re: BFT Appalling mess at home

My first game for a while. Following the win at Burton and the signing of Martin I went with a bit of hope. However, after the first few minutes the hope was quickly eradicated. I stayed to the bitter end in the hope that we would at least score but to be fair to Millwall they were well worth the wi...

Re: Stam to be sacked?

No need to worry. If there was any interest from Leeds Gourlay would offer Stam a new improved contract, so that he can continue with his 3 year plan. Think the owners have muddled up the words Premiership and National.

Re: Who could replace Stam?

This topic is pointless.

Gourlay has promised Stam a job for life.

We have a 3 year plan to get into the National League and we are well on fukkin track............

This whole situation reminds me of the Venkys at Blackburn several years ago. Do the chinese owners know that we can be relegated?

Re: BFTG - Stevenage

I have never booed the players but I decided after going to the Ipswich game not to go to any more games, unless Stam goes, or changes the style of football we play. Neither will happen, so I am calling it a day for this season. I didn't agree with some of the chanting yesterday but at least they we...

Re: Gourlay out.

Sadly, unless fans are prepared to do something radical and boycott the next home game (will never happen) I think we will have to put up and shut up for now. Listening to the interview he is pretty adamant that Stam's job is not under any threat. In saying that, there have been many managers in rec...

Re: In or Out?

For me it's out. Based on current form we'll lose at Barnsley and if we end up in a relegation battle, I don't see Stam as the man to lead us out. Was he ever involved in a relegation fight in his playing career? To be fair to him, the football was poor way before he joined us but I am not sure anym...

Re: BFT £&*@!! - Burton

After staying with family in Stowmarket last week and going to the Ipswich game, I couldn't bring myself to go to thr game today even though I had a ticket. What a great decision that was....... Stam needs to go, I like him but I don't believe that the players are capable of doing what he wants on a...

Re: Relegation

Based on results so far this season, we could easily get relegated. I don't think we will and I hope that Stam can turn this mess around. My worry is that we have such a strong Dutch influence at this club now that if Stam were to be sacked, I could see problems on the horizon for a new manager unle...

Re: Stam's comments - only a matter of time now

I thought Stam's comments were okay yesterday. He sounds like a man under pressure who is fighting for his job, albeit a little tongue in cheek. Now it might be because I'd a couple of beers but when he kept repeating himself about how he wants the team to play it sounded over complicated to me. I a...

Re: In or Out?

I am really torn on this one. On one hand, Stam did a brilliant job in his first season in charge, albeit the football was dull to watch and in all honesty I came away from the majority of games thinking that we were lucky to win. That said, most of the games I have watched since we were last in the...

Re: Jaap's Radio Comments

I went to the game yesterday and it was really dull. I don't agree with fans booing and to be fair I think that in general we are a pretty patient bunch but there was very little to cheer yesterday. I hope Stam can find the winning formula but after his interview, I do wonder how much affection he h...

Re: How many will we sign?

A really good transfer window. Apart from Pelle, we signed all players with Champ and Prem experience and we managed to extend deals for our best players. For me Edwards is my favourite, as I think he will be a 7 out of 10 each week and our midfield needs that. Another striker would have been great ...

Re: RUMOUR - Jordan Hugill

I think Hugill could be a good fit for us. But if an £8m bid is to be believed this late in the day, I really can't see us signing a striker in this window, as clubs need to bring in replacements. I appreciate that there are still a few days of the transfer window left and deals can go down to the w...

Re: Back From The Match - Preston

I didn't go to the game or listen to BBCRB but noticed in yesterday's press that Hugill was their star man. I am Just interested to know from anyone who went to the game, or listened to the commentary, if he is the type of striker that would be a big plus for us? I really rated him last year when I ...

Re: RUMOUR - Shane Long (lol)

He had one great season for us and I remember fans at one time moaning that we had let Simon Cox go but had kept Shane Long. Don't get me wrong I still think he'd be a great player at this level but I'd much prefer us to spend the money on Sam Gallagher. I see that Villa and Derby are after him and ...

Re: BFTG - QPR (A)

Pressed submit too quickly. I was disappointed that our players didn't turn up for the game with the same enthusiasm as me and my cousin had for the first game of the season. Fair play to QPR, as Holloway really had them at it. I watch our games with a fairly level head but I am shocked about how ma...

Would we have a chance of signing Patrick Bamford from Middlesbrough?
