Re: Any more out the door?

Looks like McCleary has been saying his goodbyes at the training ground today - so either off somewhere, maybe Oxford is back on?, or had his contract paid up. You would think it this point it would make sense for Gunter and McLeary to take a payoff, become free agents and be able to negotiate deal...

Re: Have we sold the Mad Stad to the owners/someone else?

Its why my beloved FGR will probably never get higher then L1 as DTW said. I doubt we will see any new teams up in the championship anytime soon. We will see new teams up there - Fleetwood look like making it in the next year or two. As mentioned, it is not the getting there that is the problem but...

Re: Top 5 Rivals

Who invented the word ‘fanbase’ ? Is it short for ‘fans’ ? Certainly can’t see why Watford are on that list, absolutely no history of rivalry there. Never seen Wycombe as rivals. Either, they just happen to be local but we’ve rarely been in the same division. Surprised QPR and Fulham don’t feature a...

Re: Have we sold the Mad Stad to the owners/someone else?

The situation is like if you had your own plumbing company and (for some reason) decided to buy the van that the 'company' owns. Technically speaking, your company has exchanged an asset for cash and this impacts tax and whatever. But in the real-world, you still have the same van that you can use ...

Re: Have we sold the Mad Stad to the owners/someone else?

Not heard a lot with REP, but the fact that the previous Thai owners own some of the surrounding land worries me more than the current owners owning the stadium tbh Not that there is that much they can do with it I suppose I believe it’s part owned by the Dai’s, IIRC there was an REP. Development c...

Re: Have we sold the Mad Stad to the owners/someone else?

Been discussed here a fair bit. It’s an accounting thing, same people still own the club and the stadium but when it was done it gave the club a cash injection. Likewise the training ground. It’s daft in many ways because the owners would by all accounts have just invested the money but that isn’t a...

Re: Any more out the door?

It's very strange re. Gunter - every manager has always rated him previously but Gomes clearly doesn't ... I actually think it reflects well on Gomes as so many fans on here have commented on Gunter's weaknesses yet manager after manager persisted on playing him week after week. But it seems strang...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Charlton Athletic (h) sponsored by Dave Shipperley

How do Charlton line-up formation wise? They've played a 4-1-2-1-2 (4-4-2 diamond) formation in recent weeks. Taylor is a top striker and they've recently signed Hemed which isn't a bad signing Team is obvious apart from Miazga/McIntyre. Bench will be interesting though. Bench against Huddersfield ...

Re: Sone Aluko to China!

hmm slightly worryingly, this chat of Sone had me check Soccerway. Noticed he is no longer in the Renhe squad (after not playing for ages). Transfermarkt also has him back with us and not Renhe Maybe he'll make a surprise appearance at Plymouth for us after all  Bollocks. And if that's the cas...

Re: BFTG Huddersfield Away

Just need to trust that the club has a watertight obligation to buy at the end of the loan. We’ve been left wondering before as the player disappears back to the parent club. I believe current EFL. Rules require a ‘loan with option to buy’ have to be backed up with contracts between clubs and playe...

If you log on to the ticketing website you can count how many tickets have been sold.

He may be better suited to the way we play now.
They could loan him back to us whilst picking up his wages in China
Everyone wins that way....

Re: Michael Morrison

And yet we're told by those claiming to be itk that he was signed without Gomes' knowledge and wasn't wanted by him. I know that the people ITK are not ITK. How he was signed and what Gomes thought of it is of little relevance to how he has performed. I would suggest several people deserve credit h...

Snowball
SCIAG
Nameless I predict that this season McIntyre will get a full cap for Scotland.

That's unfairly pessimistic.

Cruel!

Would be interesting to know if England have made any attempts to persuade him to change allegiance.

Re: This Team, WhoScored

Snowball On top of McIntyre doing so well, I see Morrison got an 8.4, Swift 8.2,

These are very good scores

Assuming they are based on both half’s of the game imagine what their split score for the second half must have been !

Re: BFTG Huddersfield Away

With due respect to the people who travelled, I've done Hudds away a couple of times in the past but obvs distant is a bit far now, I saw that game completely different to the majority. Huddersfield came out massively fired up and saw this as their first chance to gain a league win in God knows how...

Re: Speculation Nigel Adkins new DOF?

We don’t need to “spread the load”. Howe is responsible for the financial side of things and that responsibility is very unlikely to be shared. Gomes assumably talks to his scouting team and coaching team + Bowen before he submits his list of players he wants, we all know this. Having a DoF will on...
