Re: New Kits 2019/20

The new Nike 3rd kits that are being released are absolutely stunning. I also love the use of the old Nike logo. The Inter or Roma one are my personal favourites. https://render.nikeid.com/ir/render/nikeidrender/INTER_MENS_3S_1909_v1?obj=/s/g1&show&obj=/s&req=object&fmt=png-alpha&am...

Re: 2019/20 Season - How will it end?

It isn't difficult but when you have top managers already complaining about fixture congestion, the FA are probably quite reluctant to introduce it. Cancel the cups for a year. Or alternatively, managers can just get on with it and stop complaining. If they don't like the structure of the English l...

Re: Exeter away August 1990

Still one of the worst away ends in english football....but, on a positive, it's only a short drive home. Is there much of a Royals ex-pat community in the English riviera? It's growing.... One in Paignton, one in Exeter and yesterday a Reading jacket spotted in the Torquay branch of the Range........

Re: Players who virtually won us games/promotion/avoided relegation on their own

I do think we’d have stayed up if Coppell had been less loyal to Sonko and instead picked someone more reliable, like Andre Bikey. But the margins were so narrow that we can blame literally everyone and still be correct. Failing to put the finishing touches to signing Gary Cahill didn't help As I r...

Re: Players who virtually won us games/promotion/avoided relegation on their own

:| I agree with RJ Wasn’t anything to do with the fact we got 0 points out of 12 from the two teams directly directly above us (Bolton and Fulham) And conceding in at least two of those games very late on. It's almost as if the goal difference wasn't the problem in the end Lost 3-1 at Fulham and al...

Re: Players who virtually won us games/promotion/avoided relegation on their own

If you want to talk individual games, I'd probably opt for Steve Francis at Ipswich on the last day on the 86/87 season. We only drew, but that was possibly the best goalkeeping display I've seen. Didn’t Steve win the player of the season that year and he only joined part of the way through 86/87 d...

Re: Coronavirus outbreak

Could be no fans at football matches next season until the new year. This will have a devastating impact on football if so. Or there could be fans back from the Autumn. We don't know yet. If social distancing I’ll be required until at least the end of the year I would be interested in an explanatio...

Macclesfield given a further 7 point deduction for failing to pay players wages in December and postponing a game with Crewe. They’ve now slipped down to 23rd in the League 2 table 3 points ahead of Stevenage who themselves were acquitted of illegally postponing a game in January.

That's not always true and they won't be playing at home or away, they'll be playing at neutral venues Thus losing any home advantage. As will the teams they are playing against in fixtures that should have been away Both teams will be away effectively so the home team loses more while the designat...

Re: Finance

its an odd one that 7k limit. I can see the benefits, but how does it work if a team gets relegated from the Premier, and a player is on 50k a week? Also, if any sort of normality is returned, nearly all players will be on 7k. Where is the motivation to push yourself for a bigger wage? Or will bonu...
