Re: @EddieRFC7 Twitter

SCIAG Watson doesn’t get picked when we have no fit right backs.

East is behind Watson in the midfield pecking order.

Smith, just lol. Seems to be seventh choice in a side that uses one striker.

Re: Rumour - free agents

Isn't the International window closed and he is at Red Star Belgrade? So why would he be flying to England soon? He left Red Star in March. Obviosuly he isn't important enough for someone to update his Wiki page..... Reading have rejected moves for Watmore, Wilshere, Mariappa and Asamoah Rajiv van ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Middlesbrough (a) sponsored by Paul Holsgrove

31 year old winger Yannick Bolasie is being targeted by Neil Warnock for Middlesbrough as a loan from Everton, if he joins let's hope he's not quite as good as he was when at Palace.

Been without a club since March, after Red Star terminated his contract less than a year into a three year deal. Between Reading, Swansea and QPR apparently https://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/reading-fc-battling-qpr-swansea-19115070 29 year old Dutch winger that can also play...

Re: England - the future....

That last bit is what is most surprising Vic - that last year we were playing decent, attacking football and Southgate genuinely looked like the right man to take this exciting group of players forward. I don't really understand where his change in approach has come from. It's a cliche about player...

Re: Your first game watching Reading FC

1947/8. Season. No idea who they were playing but remember Bill Amor out of his Police uniform and Maurice Edelston who I was to meet many years later on the Tennis courts. I would be 15 then, entry in Tilehurst Road, 1 sh and 3 pence. Long time interest but too old and infirm to go now even if we ...

1968 or 1969. At home to either Port Vale, Mansfield or Rotherham. I saw all three, cannot remember which was first. Home games played against Mansfield, Port Vale and Rotherham in seasons 68/69, 69/70 and 70/71 14 Nov 1970 > Reading 2-1 Port Vale 02 Nov 1968 > Reading 2-1 Mansfield Town 30 Mar 197...

Re: Rumour - Olise to Leeds

Being reported two teams have made offers in excess of £5m for him, laughable. :D depends how much in excess of 5m I suppose Chronicle reports both £5m+ offers have been turned down flat stating the club see Olise as a key part of the first team. And given Moore and Swift are still here then Olise ...

Hungerford 's 2nd on Saturday @ Tonbridge - this kind of 'fortune' might explain their recent sudden upturn :  https://twitter.com/i/status/1315268681769922561 Would the keeper get an assist for that? Re: Football - The Covid Years

It is an awful deal. The bailout looks good on paper, but with the ability of the top 6 clubs to change the way the money is distributed on a whim, they’ll have changed the terms within 2 seasons. It is nothing more than a power grab by the richest clubs in the country. Far from saving the pyramid,...

Re: Football - The Covid Years

This “big picture” suggestion should be vetoed as soon as possible. Yet again it’s another plan to enable the tail to wag even more of the dog. Apparent FL backing isn’t a surprise either seeing as the chairman of the FL is Rick Parry who is ex chairman of the PL. If it gets that far, let’s hope non...
