Re: Back From The Season - End of Season Thread

Super season, but would rather have had the band-aid ripped off earlier rather than given hope of promotion and then coming within two kicks of it. Stam, Tevreden, and the entire management staff have done a fantastic job. Hopefully they will stay on for at east another year, after all this is suppo...

As an American I was looking forward to the prospect of being able to watch the team every week

Re: BFTG - Wembley

If you don't create a single clear cut chance in 120 minutes, you don't deserve to be a Premier League club. Period We were woeful, the setup was far too negative. Hopefully the new investors saw enough of Williams today to invest in keeping him here. One of the few players that gave 110%. We'll win...

Re: Can we all agree...?

I'm gutted for Moore and Obita. Both have done so well this season.

I just wanted to know what it feels like to win these oxf*rd playoffs. Just once. That was the worst possible way to lose

Team news is in. Same 11 that played Fulham at the Mad Stad, Obita on the bench.

Glad to hear Jordon's still alive, I was worried that Stam had made him disappear after his embarrassing performance at Norwich

Re: MATCHWATCH : Huddersfield Town v Reading, Play Off Final, 29 May 2017 (Wembley)

This is coming from a biased perspective of course but I can't wrap my head around why neutrals and the press hate us so much... Can the Premier League reject a team for being too tinpot? Maybe they'll use our new owners as an excuse to block our possible promotion so that the average viewer doesn't...

You joke, but I predict this will be a common response among neutrals if we win

I won't be crushed if we don't go up, but I will be if we lose Jaap. Only way to guarantee we don't is to get promoted. For that reason I'm incredibly nervous for this game. I need more Dutch revolution in my life

Re: #antiReading

It is quite funny because Huddersfield and ourselves are pretty much the same club this season. Had a few seasons of utter garbage, change to an inexperienced manager who changes personnel and style of play heavily, hang around the top 6 all season while pundits repeatedly say we'll fall away becaus...

A pundit backed Reading? Impossible. Next you're going to be telling me that Reading beat Fulham in a two-legged playoff

Re: Team for Huddersfield

I'm just going to trust Stam. He could start Gravenberch and I'd nod my head in agreement after the masterclass he pulled against Fulham If I had to choose, I'm inclined to go 5-3-2 again with the same lineup as the second leg, Obita in for VDB, Blackett to CB. I agree with most about Swift but I'd ...

Re: Who do we want, then?

Who is the 'home' team at Wembley? It's usually the team that finishes higher in the league I looked at previous finals, and it seems that 4th/5th is actually the default home side. A graphic after today's game also had Huddersfield as the home side. Looks like it's going to be black and yellow for...

Re: Play off odds

Yeah. We were unconvincing at the Mad Stad, and the game was well even in Yorkshire. Huddersfield are no mugs, and will win comfortably unless we bring our A-game.
