Re: Weekend Football

certainly was a massive plus for Chelsea last season against others that were battling on all fronts while they could sit back with their feet up midweek. Will be interesting to see how they do this season when they are juggling Euro football with the PL like the other clubs trying to win the leagu...

Cracking defending for City's goal.

Re: Weekend Football

Schneiderlein should have stayed on his feet which also gave the ref a decision to make that's just w@nky pundit cliché talk he can stay on his feet or he can go to ground, making a fair tackle is the only important thing. If the issue is players overreacting then sort that out, don't make players ...

Re: Weekend Football

Why are commentators so frightened to call out players who cheat? Aguero last night when the everton lad was sent off was a disgrace, his foot light brushed against Aguero and so he went down rolling around, then all we got was 'Everton might feel themselves a little unlucky there'. why not just sa...

Re: Best/Worst Pundit

Certain things shouldn't be allowed, like displaying messages on t-shirts, or jumping into the crowd, but I've long thought a yellow for taking your shirt off when you score is a little harsh, it's not like it is indecent. Perhaps. But it would be fairly harsh on Monaco if they change the law on ta...

Re: Best/Worst Pundit

genome Surprised Marcos Alonso wasn't sent off yesterday for his celebr8ions whilst already booked

I was thinking that for a minute but then realised it certainly was excessive enough to warrant a card.

FWIW I'm not a fan of that booking rule as it happens. Such killjoy from the FA on that one.

Re: We need a new fixture board at stadium

Agreed. I'm thinking it's time to give the stadium a little overhaul. Some of the paintwork looks a little tired these days. Specifically in the concourse areas. The higgledy piggledy brick paving outside the stadium also needs addressing.

Re: Best/Worst Pundit

What did everyone make of the new setup on MOTD2 last night? I managed to fit in the Lord of the rings trilogy by the time Jermaine Jenas walked over to the playback screen. I didn't like it that is for sure. Glad it is only reserved for the teams nobody cares about who won't win anything like Chel...

The only banning we should be talking about is 3 games for Dier and 3 games for Vertonghen.

Liverpool reject £114M bid for Coutinho from Barca W.T.A.F?? football has lost its marbles It's too late to spend it, given they have struggled to bring in their targets all summer. For all his pathetic posturing, if he doesn't leave, Coutinho will be 'reintegrated' soon enough, especially given th...

Re: Best/Worst Pundit

They might have had more than 2 shots on target I guess LOLz @ makeshift btw I'm getting the feeling you're using the 2 shots on target as a negative thing? If you have a decent comprehension of football that matters not if you win the game. From a neutral perspective I think Chelsea would have gon...

Do you think that makeshift Chelsea team would have won by more had Dier and Vertonghen been rightly sent off?

Re: Best/Worst Pundit

Some bizarre punditry from Souness yesterday after the Spurs v Chelsea game. I assume he was watching a different game to the rest of us. He said "lady luck shone on Chelsea today". He must have missed the sitter Morata missed, Willian hitting the post, Dembele's foul throw (feet way over ...

John Madejski's Wallet The Arnautovic (sp?) elbow in the saints-west ham game

Just how do you get so stroppy being sent off for such a blatant and vicious elbow?!

Quite. Although this weekend highlighted some very poor refereeing decisions, this was a rare one they actually got right.

£118M according to 'sources' on twitter. That's a lot of money for a player who no longer wants to be at Liverpool.

Re: Post Game Traffic

Something was odd on Tuesday night; I did my usual drive back from the World Turned Upside Down and when I got to the 'Tesco roundabout' there was absolutely no traffic. First time in the 6 years i've been going that i've been able to drive straight through to the junction. I was back home by 10:30...
