Re: BFTG Leeds Home

I'm not a fan of playing players out of position but I'd generally rather see a "false 9" or something, even Meite up front and Harriott and McCleary on the wings would suffice, Loader is clearly feeling the pressure and unfortunately, that's come from our fans overhyping him before he'd ...

Re: Bftg- Wigan (h)

1) 5) As did Meite. I f**king love Meite. Give me 11 Meites and I'll love watching the team. . Meite is and was woeful on Saturday, good header at the end aside. He's painfully slow for someone that looks quick, his holdup play is atrocious and he doesn't even win many headers. Can't fault his effo...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (h) sponsored by Nicky Forster

And the Rotherham goal.? Baker nut-megging an opposition player whilst facing our own goal, then Martinez passing from directly under his own goal line with an opposition player breathing down his neck, 3 passes later it's in the back of the opponents net. The probability of that happening would be ...

Re: Bftg- Wigan (h)

Interesting differences of opinion about Loader. I thought he looked much more comfortable as part of the team today. He was bringing the ball forward, beating men and looked stronger than he had done. Previously he looked what he was, a boy stuck into a men’s game, whereas today Indon’t think you ...

Re: Economics

We’ll have to disagree ! They clearly aren’t involved on a pure business basis. You don’t make billions by thinking a second tier football club is a money making exercise. The fact that they took the club on without the potential money making REP project indicates that at the very least this is a l...

Re: Financial Fair Play

Reading in the chronic that since the Chinese took over we have lost £34.7m that's not far short of the £39m for exceeding the FFP threshold over 3 years. Next year will need to be cost cutting like you wouldn`t know. That's how much the club is in debt, not how much we've lost since they took over...

Re: Financial Fair Play

Have we released our figures for year ending 2018 yet?

I've a feeling that the figures quoted here are for our play-off season (Stam's first season).

If that's the case it doesn't take into consideration our last two disastrous summer transfer windows which we're still trying to recover from.

Re: £5 Comic Relief Red Reading Footy shirt

Well I would've thought all my years on here would have earned an element of trust from fellow nobbers. I think that might have disappeared when you started the profiteering tbh Well that seems harsh given I’m raising money for charity. I’ll bet Sir Lenny Henry wouldn’t share that view. Besides I m...

Re: £5 Comic Relief Red Reading Footy shirt

Picked up a dozen (8 adult , 4 child) this morning. (E-BAY link to follow) The way I look at it , they'll probably fetch about £40 for the adult and £20 for children's size on average. So £400 minus my initial outlay of £60. So £340 profit. I'll give half of that to Comic Relief and pocket the othe...

Re: Remaining fixtures for all our rivals.

OUr fixtures look far from easy. I remembered it being a lot easier than it is - we seem to be playing all the form teams - Preston, Bristol, Brentford, plus Norwich away, West Brom at home (who have a great away record), Boro away. I think we need to get a 6 point gap in our next 4 games tbh. Ipsw...

Re: BFTG Rotherham

Born Again Royalist You omly have to look at the bench today to see negativity on selection 4 of them were defensive, Gunter, O shea, Mc Shane plus keeper. This was a game we had to Win not defend

Who would you have added to the bench that was fit and available?

Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham United (h) sponsored by all or nothing

Someone on here made the good point that the successful teams in this division get the ball moving forward quickly. We don’t. On the rare occasions we do get upfield quickly we look good. Yesterday’s goal being a case in point where Swift passes out wide. The ball is then progressed to McCleary who...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham United (h) sponsored by all or nothing

Yeah was rounding up, prob a little aggressively - was thinking 70 mins, so 20+ the inevitable 4/5 injury time Either way, far too early Problem No:1 As Gomes alluded to in his press conference, the players were sitting back of their own volition , it certainly wasn't a tactic. Given that Rotherham...

Re: On this day

Today is the 19th anniversary of the famous (?) HNA trip to Sunny Scunny. A gobsmacking 900 fans met at Madejski Stadium in the morning before heading up to Lincolnshire in a convoy of Nobbers to watch a dire team doing it's best to get relegated to Div 4. http://www.royals.org/piccies/scunny.jpg I...

Re: BFTG - Blackburn

First half shambles down to Gomes. Poor team set-up. Cannot afford more slip-ups. Should have been dead and buried. Nope. Rino was injured and we don't have any other tenacious tough tackling midfielders to play there. His only choice was to play more balanced wide men who would track back and help...

Re: BFTG - Blackburn

Which is why no money was made available in January for Emery then.......... They are rich but do not provide significant transfer funds for their managers, haven't since they left Highbury. Keep up. Try not to take things literally either, pretty sure we all know they are a well off club that wasn...

Would 100% get one if he moves into the number 2 slot, he will currently be on peanuts. Don't forget Arsenal haven't got any money , think their priorities will be on spending what they have in the outfield positions. Time will tell. LOL. They are one of, if not the, most cash rich clubs in the cou...

Re: Ex Players

Kuhl was featured in a piece on South Today last night. Still rehabbing 18 months after injuring his knee at Aldershot. Only managed to get the necessary op and post op treatment because his mother had private health care insurance (which sounded odd !). Seemed to be getting closer to fitness and c...
