Re: Rumour - Olise to Leeds

snip snap I think you are probably right. We think he is amazing and worth £50 million, but he'll probably go to one of the promoted teams in June for less than half of that, and ironically, we will all cry. Trick is to be one of those three teams. With such a young squad ready to be pecked apart s...

Re: Injury watch 2020/21

Swift coming back will be great. Realistically he can rotate into any of Olise, Ejaria, Laurent, and Rino's positions (plus Meite's at a stretch). Between the packed fixture list and his talent it's hard not to see him playing the majority of games that he's fit for.

Re: Back from the actual game

Just pray we can keep him past January.. It`s going to take a serious amount of money for us to accept on offer, the way to push our promotion push off the rails would be to let him go. Could easily see a 20 million bid coming in. Just pray we can keep him past January.. It`s going to take a seriou...

I'm sure we've all had days where we're not exactly overjoyed at the prospect of work, but go and do our job well anyway, could just be that. His performance most certainly wasn't lacking.

Re: BGTF Coventry

We generated more than enough opportunities in attack and had a couple of shockers in defence.

This is the championship, it happens. And as far as losses go it wasn't that bad. All about PNE on Tuesday now, a win there and this match will be quickly forgotten.

They need to calm down. Panicking because we’re behind and taking ridiculous shots instead of working it into good positions.

Game is still here for the taking.

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

I think it’s fair to say that in the long run a team is unlikely to significantly outperform its xG. It can happen in cup competitions because you have to win relatively few games. Over the course of a league season you have to either have a great goalkeeper, very clinical forwards (which is much r...

How many of these games are behind the red button as opposed to the normal sky channels? https://twitter.com/ExclusivesFc/status/1321755876580040705 Bournemouth, Wednesday, Bristol, Forest now on tv. So, next 8 games: QPR is right after that run so that'll probably be on sky as well. Lets hope that...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

On the xG model Liverpool would have finished last season with 26 points less. It doesn't account for how good goalkeepers are and Rafael is pulling off saves against shots with high xG. Almost like it is a stat that can inform discussion rather than be the settling factor... Then why do all these ...

See the tweet at the top. One of the ITKs (who also broke news of Cov and Stoke being televised) is saying that those 4 have been selected.

Re: What has changed so much from last season?

I highly doubt it. Crazy as it may sound but he would be a great fit for somebody like dortmund Oyeh because Dai has a record of letting our most promising players go. Plus would be fairly stupid from Olise to leave at this stage when next year he could well be playing guaranteed Prem football as i...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

xG can be good, but needs context. For example if a team often goes behind in a game they will take more shots than the average team trying to equal, and if a team sits back a lot after going ahead they won't take many shots, which will result in a lower xG (e.g. Us). It also more takes into account...

Re: BTFT - Blackburn

Joao had the vibe of a schoolteacher getting involved with the year 8's breaktime kick about. He just bullies defenders all day, while being clear minded enough to assist Meite and to not snap at shots but rather to time them. Excellent work rate as well. Made a few crucial interventions in our own ...

Wonder what Birmingham fans make of Morrison looking so good. I mean they practically gave him to us. They were gutted he left, rated him really highly. Yep, even at the time they were in despair at letting him go. Our recruitment post-Gournlay has been incredible. Joao, Ejaria, Laurent, Morrison, ...
