Re: Who realistically replaces Paunovic…?

The problem we've got in spades is injuries. A new face doesnt solve those. In all our previous predicaments i always thought we were only one managerial change away from a renewal, or a relegation avoided. This time, because there is no fix to the injuries i can't see it. Unless, of course, there’...

Re: BFTG - Kidderminster (A)

Depends how you define “good money”. Murty and Convey both cost about £750k which was a lot at the time, particularly when we signed Murty. Our £1m+ signings: - Lita - hit - Seol - hit - Halford - miss - Bikey - hit - Fae - miss - Rosenior - hit but only at a lower level - Matejovsky - miss - Mills...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Kidderminster Harriers (a)

I know I shouldn't, but I got intensely irritated by Football Focus this lunchtime, and their dismissive and patronising attitude towards us. And yes, I understand the whole "romance of the cup" (copyright BBC) schtick, but it would have been nice to have even had a passing nod towards us...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Derby County (h)

Frustrating waste of points. Not Paunovic's fault in my opinion but the team naturally are sitting back on leads, they seem to change their mindset. Need a leader on the pitch to stop that rot. Can't agree. Only one person to blame and that's Paunovic. That is what happens when your default and onl...

Paper talk today(again) of Swift to Leeds. the bad news. The good news is that allegedly he may wait till the Summer to consider his options. Not sure that is good news tbh. Given our perilous financial position, it could see us lose him for nothing next summer. I think we'll scrape survival withou...

Re: Points Deduction Incoming!

So, in summary - is this all at the door of Ron Gourlay, was it the excessive contracts during his tenure that was the downfall. Owners naïve etc but Gourlay was the one? I think the owners wanted Premier League football, saw someone in Gourlay who has run clubs at that level and spoke to him, Gour...

Re: Rival Watch

slightly odd to leave Swansea only to end up at a club in pretty much the same situation I guess they have an owner there who has shown he is willing to spend money, which Swansea can't/won't - so he may well see it as a better opportunity going forward - despite them being in the crapper at the mo...

If we carry on like this we’re getting relegated.

Now into the bottom 3.

SCIAG
Nameless a close relative on his paternal side.

Wonderful euphemism.

Indeed, but is it enough to avoid a little dose of Novichok?

Re: Contract situation at end of 2020/21 season.

A bunch of Unders have agreed deals: We are delighted to announce that Femi Azeez and James Holden have signed new one-year deals with the club. Lynford Sackey, Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan, Harvey Collins, Kian Leavy and Malachi Talent-Aryeetey have also all agreed their first pro-contracts. (Not sure if ...

Re: Rival Watch

Mid Sussex Royal Stoke have just announced losses of £91m for last season...unless they were making a profit before that surely must put them in FFP breach territory?

The losses can be no more than £39m over 3 seasons, so they must have found a huge pot of hidden gold somewhere to mitigate that £91m!

Re: 2019/2020 accounts analsyis - from STAR

They're out of line with reality in the top leagues. Why do you think Real are so desperate for a Super League. But even that is so short sighted as we all know that additional income will result in even higher transfer fees and ultimately higher wages. I've been hoping that the bubble will burst, ...

Here we are congratulating the boys on a measly 2-0 win, when they were on a losign streak, huge injury woes, imminent manager departure, and Watford were able to put 6 past them. Should we have done a lot better? I'm happy we did a professional, comfortable job without breaking sweat and never loo...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bournemouth (h)

Been a long time coming but we look a very good side once again. so many false dawns in the last 8 years, it`s hard to get our hopes too high if we end up in the play-offs again given our record in them. I hear ya, but wouldn't it be karma? I mean, we finished 2nd in the championship in the one yea...

Chameleon It feels like this game is being played in slow motion, might just be the pace of the pitch.

Feels to me like we have too many luxury players in the midfield. Ejaria, Swift and Olise don't seem to be tracking back enough, or getting first to the loose balls.

Re: Rumour - Jorge Grant

I would still love to pick up Andre Green atleast he is a proper winger and has Championship experience and 20 . If I was going to rob lower leagues of players that may make the step up and can play on the wing Randell Williams (Exeter) and Courtney Senior (Colchester) both seem to be a class above...
