Re: Clear out in the summer?

I'd release/ sell if possible Stack Halls Sodje Bennett Bozanic Robson Kanu Cox (sadly) Brown Fae replace Hahnemann and send Federici out on loan if we could sell Sonko I probably would. DLC Golbourne Oster Gunnarsson replace Murty with Rosenior but Murty would stay in the squad. fingers crossed Li...

Re: watching prem games on tinternet a guide

Does anyone have any idea if the Chelsea game is on the Internet anywhere. Have just found that the following website is having a vote on which games they should show. I have used it before - you have to pay £3 or so but quality is good. If you want to watch please check out site and vote. http://w...

Re: How we stack up against the opposition in terms of signings

Our best signing in 2 years is Michael Duberry agreed, which sort of sums it up really. I like Doobs, probably our best out and out defender, limited in certain things but he'd be in my team over Sonko absolutely any day. Those players mentioned were singed for money, and in most cases are still he...

Re: Chelsea Prediction thread

I have a totally irrational positive feeling about this one - just like I had before the Liverpool game so I am going 1-2. History will be made as we end Chelsea's' near 4 year run.

Re: How we stack up against the opposition in terms of signings

At the end of the day if Reading stay up then our policy of not panic buying will be successful and SC can set about developing the squad we have and buying where we need to at the end of the season. If on the other hand Reading get relegated then all the negative hobnobbers will be delighted that t...

Re: SPECULATION - Theo Walcott

After what Steve Coppell has done for Hunty - turning him from a Brentford reject to a £6.5M target for Sunderland - I expect Arsenal will pay us to play Theo rather than us have to pay him!!

Re: RUMOUR - Sidwell to return to Reading

bless him-sort of but it was hardly unpredicted by anyone he knew he would have to force his way past some of the best midfielders in the world to get regular footy there he backed his own ability, but it looks like he thought he was better than he actually was im not sure id want him back, would b...

Re: Anybody else preparing to opt out next season?

I find this thread a little sad really. Reading have tried to reach the top flight for 135 years and finally succeeded. Anyone who went last Saturday and watched the fantastic performance Reading put up against arguably the best multi million pound squad that has ever been assembled would surely not...

jesus WSF i give in, your relentless negativity has won the day we are awful our manager is clueless tactically and in terms of most of his signings, a his coaching and scouting staff are equalkly clueless the chairman is a skinflint who is dragging this club down with him 2/3 of our current squad ...

It seems some think that just because he is a Reading born lad he should get a chance? Erm NO.... He obviously isn't good enough. Ta'da LOL Cox - our best player tonight. But no doubt we will sell him to Swindon for 50p!!! Why? Who was the last person we drastically undersold? Or are you talking ou...

After Cox's showing last night on the right wing I would play him out there and leave Convey on the bench. I would also start Lita and leave Doyle on the bench. Re Cox I agree - he looked really good last night. Give him a chance. But as for Doyle he is a far better player than Lita and not so self...

There seems to be a view on here that unless a player costs 5 million plus he is no good. On the face of it the purchase of Doyle at £78K was not impressive and he is now worth a small fortune.

Lets give this guy a chance before writing him off. He may be another huge success.

After the abject first half the obvious changes to me were to bring on Cox for Long (who was having a shocker), Henry for Shorey or DLC and later Hunt for Convey. The final team would have been Fed, Roseior, Pearce, Ingi, Shorey or DLC, Hunt, Cisse, Harper, Henry, Lita and Cox. I honestly think that...

Yet again I am mystified. 1/ Yet again it was proved tonight that we cannot play 5-4-1 2/ At half time why take off one of the the only two recognised CB's and play a CM at centre back - admittedly Cisse did well BUT that meant we had several players out of opposition - Cisse, Shorey, Cox (RW rather...

Gosh, that Ivar dilemma’s a tough one, isn’t it? I hadn’t even considered him not playing, but of course it’d be a huge risk as he’s our only fit first-team CB. So, Pearce and Gunnar/Cisse up against Berbatov and Keane? Yikes! I guess that’s Gunnar man-marking Berbatov and DLC on Keane ...

I salute your optimism regarding the away wins at Boro and Newcastle. Take those out and you have 35 points and a real buttock clenching finish on the last day of the season or 36/7 points if we drew one or more of those games. The term is "winnable" - does not mean we have to win them al...
