Re: Brian: The right decision?

I thought at the time it was wrong to sack him, and I'm glad he's back. Obviously, we all hope he can be successful again. But even if not, he had earned the right to more time and more mistakes than our then owner allowed him. Welcome back, Brian, and let's hope the club can regain a bit of its soul.

Re: Welcome back Brian?

Have people really forgotten how dire and helpless things got in the latter days of McDermott? Being a nice man and loyal were probably two contributory factors to that. Well, it depends how 'latter' those latter days were. He got sacked after a run of games when, admittedly, we looked hopeless, an...

Gunnarsson as assistant, Kebe kit man (especially socks) and S Hunt as PR. Oh, and Sir Steve on the Board please.

And all will be well. 8)

Plenty of good players already at the club. We need some good coaching and a style of play. Some of Brian McD's team spirit wouldn't go amiss...

Re: Back from the stream (Derby)

To those of you that watched on a stream, hope you have a decent excuse for not going. £15 a ticket and there were still seats left, you could have come. You missed out, big time. It was the first time I'd seen us under Clarke... Taking these two statements together, I'm not sure we need the lectur...

Re: Back from the stream (Derby)

Some grass was pointing out people to the stewards who were standing up when they 'shouldn't be'. Stupid ming. Only within reading fans would you get that, we had the same at last season Saw a pensioner literally sprint up the steps at Fulham to get a steward because someone swore in front of his g...

Re: Derby v Reading - Sponsored by Robbie Savage

I know we're sometimes a bit crap against 10, but Derby won't want a replay. So as long as we stop them taking an early 2nd half lead, they will surely not just shut up shop. This is a great chance to reach the quarter finals.

Re: Brian: The right decision?

I never thought it was right to sack BM. Nor would I favour sacking Adkins now. But one thing is clear to me: right now if Reading concede a goal, they look beaten, while in McD's last Championship season, as soon as Reading scored a goal you could be confident they would win. You are aware we've o...

Say what you like, but as Charles Watts said, when this team go behind they look beaten. At this level MacDermott's team never looked beaten.

Just take a look at the win at home against Leicester (under Sven) where they had most of the play and we hit them with hyper-paced Kebe breaks.
