Re: RIP Percy

Sorry to hear that news. Always good value and when Percy and Robin Friday played up front they were a force to be reckoned with. I remember one occasion when an opposition goalie was so intimidated by the pair of them bearing down on him that he completely ignored the ball which went in the net. Al...

Re: Bristol City (H) Predictions

I went to City v Charlton on Boxing Day and both teams were terrible. When we got home and watched Wolves Reading on Sky my son commented that it was like watching a different league. I can see us winning by at least a 3 goAl margin so I will go for 4-1

Skilful but too lightweight for the Championship.

Re: BFTG - Fulham

Agree with PTR's point above. Both our full backs were booked in the first half, pretty needlessly, and that put pressure on them for the rest of the game holding back their tackles. When Obita was booked early I would have been inclined to sub him at half time and put Taylor on, assuming he was on...

Re: BFTG - Bristol

Hang on, wasn't Cotterill throwing ridiculous bids for strikers around all summer? I am sure City have more money than us if they can do that. Unless they were Gylfi type bids and not really serious. Cotterill said that the wages demanded by the strikers he tried to sign were doable but too much in...

Re: Stadium name to be change to highest bidder

I've always supported the idea of a joint statue of Coppell and Madejski arm in arm Fast forward 100 years time: Youth 1: Now that WW4 has finished i'm glad we can enjoy this game of hover football. Youth 2: Yeah, me too, what's that statue supposed to be? Youth 1: Not sure when's it from? Youth 2:...

LOL at calling Bristol City the Cherries. Casts doubt on the reliability of any of this stuff.
. The newly promoted club have a £20m interest-free loan from Lansdown, who continues to bankroll the Cherries. B

Re: Carabao Outrage!

I was surprised to be sold a bottle of Coke - unopened - on Saturday instead of the usual cardboard cup with lid, particularly as I have had to surrender the lids from drinks I've taken into the stadium in the past. I saw loads of people carrying bottles of coke etc. with lids on into the seated ar...

Re: BFTG - Brum

So the fact he declined to play for his country suddenly means he's any less Australian?! And he declined to play for his country to play for us? Had he decided the other way, the same critics would have probably had a go about that. ! Not less Australian but certainly less patriotic which makes it...

Re: How many minutes before the end did you leave?

I don't know what you lot are all fussing about queues for the tube..... I left a few minutes after the final whistle, walked to Wembley Central, went through Queue E, boarded waiting empty train and was back in the Golden Eagle in Marylebone by c.8.20. 8) And as far as queues for the Wembley Stadi...
