Re: Player of the Season Poll

Le Fondre needs some votes to reflect his key impact , especially up until Xmas, and often with only parts of games. anyone who hasnt played most of the games is automatically discounted for me, cant vote for someone as player of the "season" if theyve played less than half of it imo I wa...

MmmMonsterMunch
Perhaps if home fans didn't boo their team every week they might actually win at home. Just a thought.

Shhh - don't tell them until we have played there :D

Re: Where will Reading up?

i think we will either just make the playoffs or finish 1st. If we win v Millwall on Saturday then we will go to 60 pts, with WHU and Soton on 61 and 62. They both follow our game with tricky games v Leeds and Cardiff. A home win on Tuesday night could put us on top of the pile... and from then on ...

Re: Harte, Griffin or Mills at Left Back

But he offers absolutely zero going forward. He hardly ever crosses the halfway line let alone provide an overlap for Kebe. And on the odd occasion he finds himself over the halfway line he dosn't seem to have a clue what to do with the ball. I have a feeling he is held back by the wingers he has a...

Re: This Looks Nice

Geez would I love for us to get Bertrand back on loan, looking to buy at the end of the season. But right now, from what I hear, Chelsea won't part with him because they are thin at the position and need him for cover. No chance with Cashley sent off last night - R5L already say Bertrand will play ...

Re: Ball over the stadium

indeed. i think you're mistaken tbm, i'm certain of it. everyone's eyes are on the ball and there would have been a reaction to the ball clearing the roof, and there wasn't. as for james after the final whistle, no idea. no one else seems to have mentioned it. I was sat in the West Stand on ...

Re: Back from the game - Bristol City (H)

this is a funny one - from just behind the goal in the north stand it was laughable. Absolutely not a penalty. I've watched it again on the TV and it is definitely a penalty. Trust your eyes bro, not the machine. Agree with whoever ^^^ that McAnuff did well after Adomah's overhead was saved. Said t...

Re: Back from the game - Bristol City (H)

It didn't really matter to the outcome but ... After about 6 mins of the game the ball was threaded through to Roberts, who was clearly in an offside position. as the ball went past him he turned to chase it. The instant he turned and moved the flag went up for the offside. So where, pray tell, was...

Not according to someone on BBC Berks who was there to talk about her diabetes - she was at Bearwood College with him.

Re: Latest club accounts

The last point of the article is rather spurious – surely higher wages are being spent on better players? The author can’t be seriously suggesting just paying your players more money will improve your position! Here Jem Karacan, here’s another 100k a year. Now be a creative midfielder. I took the r...

Re: Brian McDermott

During his time as chief scout he scouted some of Reading's great players. Doyle, Lita, Long, Gunnarsson, Sigurdsson (Academy) Matt Mills, Cummings. All the coverage goes to the managers, even though he is the one who recommend then to the manager. I hope who ever is doing his job in his stead, is ...

Svlad Cjelli Amongst today's inanities was Dellor insisting that it's the 4th official who decides how much time is added on!

I have heard this stupidity from a lot of other commentators on Radio 5 so maybe it is a BBC fantasy

The other two taking pride in professionals behaving like 5 year olds is more  Quite agree - how is diving to get a fellow professional sent off less disrespectful than pulling your socks up. Maybe professional...

Re: Blackpool (A) - Match Thread

Pronouncing footballers names wrong is something I really cant oxf*rd stand! He also mispronounces Robson Kanu as the guy himself says Robson Canoe. BBC Berks have a piece before the game where each player identifies themself so there is no excuse. It is disrespectful to not use the person's own pr...

Gordons Cumming
Vision He was in the dressing room on Tuesday night. Can't believe we didn't chuck him someone elses shirt and play him as a ringer.

Thats the trouble with this club, won't ever take a risk.

How do you know he was in the dressing room on Tuesday?

May be something to do with the photo of him on the OS?
