Re: Hard to see any progress for the forseeable future

The 17 Bus now too many players are not playing regular football, same as the 7 subs in the Prem!! What is that all about?

The drunken tramp at Old Trafford wasn't able to include Darren Fletcher in his five subs, and so whined and whined and whined until the Premier League increased it to seven.

Re: "Back The Boys" Man

One of the reasons that music was brought in was to surpress the mood of the crowd back in the hooligan days of the 70s and 80s. It was an attempt to stop the singing before the game. Before that, the crowd built the atmosphere, no need for piped anthemic dance tracks or Carmina Burana  Incid...

Re: Why Reading are the most important club in England

It is believed to originate from the season that RFC chose an away strip of blue and yellow hoops. When we played an away fixture at Brighton, who play in blue and white stripes, RFC naturally had to use their away strip. The referee was uimpressed at the prospect of two teams playing in blue and o...

Re: Tribunal findings today - West Ham to pay Sheff Utd £30m?

West Ham have no recourse to the courts - they signed away their legal rights when they agreed to the arbitration tribunal. And the Court of Arbitration for Sports has just said they would not be able to hear an appeal unless they had the agreement of Sheffield United (not very likely), and the FA r...

Daily Mail Steve Coppell claims he never doubted Kevin Doyle's commitment to Reading after he failed to gain a dream move back to the Barclays Premier League during the January transfer window.

Re: If you could change the Mad Stad

Move it to within reasonable walking distance of the town centre and station, surrounded by a decent selection of pubs and takeaways. Don’t know how practical that would be in Reading. Well, if we're going down the fantasy route, rotate the entire stadium by 90 degrees, so the East Stand is now the...
