Re: Coventry away

126 hours to kick off, and still diddly squat. Cov are doing pay on the day for home fans, same for us perhaps?

Re: STs 2021/22

Thank you owner’s without checking I would not be surprised if we are the cheapest in the championship. I have a friend who lives in York they have a new stadium in the 6th tier of English football. The season ticket price is £299. Stoke City’s cheapest ST is very much in line with ours, £294. Howe...

Re: Importance of tactics.

A classic example of where VP got his tactics right, then wrong in the same game and ultimately cost us the fixture, was the Brentford home game. Very unusually we played a high pressing / intensity game, got right in their faces, and no doubt confused our W London friends whose scouting reports wou...

Pepe the Horseman
bloody Volvo driver Why won’t he make subs earlier. 72 hours after a tiring game and 1 sub in first 85 minutes despite, once again running out of puff on 70. He has to learn it’s a 15 man game

Because our bench is shit?

True, but a 100% Aluko (for example) > 60% tired Ovie

Re: MATCHWATCH : Brentford (h)

I know we lack strength in depth but why we don’t chuck on one of the youngsters on nearer the end gets to me. Granted today was a “big game” so a lot to ask but the reluctance to do it in previous games where they could of showed a flash of something to mayb get them the nod when we fade In the la...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Brentford (h)

Lots of positives tonight and it is almost sacrilegious to criticise VP, but he has to learn it is a 14-15 man game not 11-12. We have been running on empties since 70 after playing a high energy game and we’re always going to run out of steam and fresh legs were needed.

Re: Best player you've ever seen play against us

Another nod to John Carey’s second half performance in the cup, absolutely bullied us. One that always sticks in my mind, is Jermain Defoe in our 3-3 final game of the season against Bournemouth, single handadly bossed the entire game, obvious destined for greater things than AFCB. more recently saw...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bournemouth (h)

The Riquelme question is very fair imo. Hes played 100 odd minutes? He could easily have featured heavily for us so far this season. But I'm not upset. Aluko has done well and we are finally getting some value from him. This looks a bit like the Richards scenario, do you go with the bigger team (Ba...

Re: Back to the Mad Stad

It was great to see and hear the fans back on Saturday and brought a tear to my eye when the players entered the pitch from the tunnel - long overdue. Admittedly it looked great for TV to see all the fans in the East Stand cheering, singing etc, butconsidering the (lack of) social distancing, it lo...

LOL @ all you bedwetting melts having a cry because we've lost one game almost a quarter of the way into the season and might have our lead at the top of the league cut a bit after one slightly lacklustre performance. Most sensible post tonight. We are top of the league We are CLEAR at the top of t...

Re: Season 20/21

Thought I would have a look at how clubs who were top after 8 games have fared over the past 10 seasons:- 3 have gone on to be automatically promoted 5 ended up in a PO position 1 finished 7-12 1 finished lower half (Forest) As first poster on bftg thread said, we do look the real deal, but better t...

Snowball We had 19 shots, 6 on target playing 50 minutes with ten men
against a side which made the play-offs.

This game made me feel good about next season.

Really a 1-4 spineless home defeat gives you cause for hope. Are u for real?

What is wrong with you lot? That was a very good Swansea side and we were a man short. Apart from the first few minutes, I thought we were great Olise is a fantastic player Yeah fantastic. What about the past 445 minutes in which we have failed to score at home, penalties aside. Truly woeful.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Derby County (a) sponsored by no fans allowed

And Hull city take the lead. Good Luton win. Charlton win again. Boro appoint Warnock. Wigan in form. Agree it's unlikely, but not impossible. We will verly likely finish 55 plus points, but its natural for Reading fans to get nervous, i remember Blackburn going down on 54 points, but can`t remeber...
