Dear Star Campaigns (whoever you are), You jump to some incorrect conclusions about my circumstances, so please don't make sweeping generalisations. Firstly, my own season ticket is very well used. I've not missed a home game for two years, and only four away games in 16 months (but that bit's irrel...

Buy-back con

The mythical buy-back scheme has now, apparently, been launched - and surprise, surprise, it won't be anything like we might have expected it to be. Firstly, it will only operate for SOLD OUT games. Apparently it's about to be in operation for the Man City game. Secondly, you don't get money back......

The only crime he is guilty of so far are: 1. Failing to hold up the ball when we're under the cosh away from home (or even not under the cosh). 2. Failing to rescue a point at Wigan when one-on-one with the keeper (presumably he's deadlier when one-on-one in a night club). Leroy is innocent....of b...

He has apparently been taken in for questioning in connection with an incident in Wigan at approximately 4.45pm on Saturday when he was in confrontation with a six foot five man in shorts answering to the name of "Kirkland". As a result of complaints from about 2,000 Reading fans, he told ...

Wouldn't have felt hard done by with a 3-0 defeat today. Only Shorey, Sidwell and Sodje emerged with any real credit. We couldn't hold on to the ball up front and badly missed Kitson. Doyle tried hard but Lita is just not the man for a backs-to-the-wall performance. As stated elsewhere, we looked ti...

I think you're all really sad being on message boards at ridiculous hours claiming you can't sleep because of football. Your wife doesn't love you and you are downstairs on the computer looking for porno because you can't remember the last time you had sex. It does feel a little bit like Xmas ...

Remember why we left Elm Park?

Apart from the limited capacity, one of the main reasons the club gave for leaving Elm Park was the difficulty fans had in parking nearby. It was driving fans away, they said. It was true, too. The new stadium would have a car park as big as Wembley Stadium, the club claimed (until they decided to b...

I can't believe it...

Our first ever game in the Premiership and we haven't even sold out. The club's marketing department should hang its head in shame. They've completely misjudged the public and seemed osessed with fleecing people. They've over-priced the tickets and seem to think fans will pay any price to watch us -...

My point is that it's important he shuts up and gets on with his game In his time at the club he's been one of our more articulate players, usually talking sense. For some reason he's now been transformed into a cliche-ridden gobshite. The more he and his agent keep spouting this nonsense, the more ...

Latest drivel from the Sidwell camp

We've all been sadly mistaken that Sidwell wanted to move on for more money. He didn't mean that stuff about more dosh needed for the wife and kid after all. Check out the latest from his agent: However, the player's representative Eric Walters says no fresh bids for Sidwell have been made: "No...

My theory as to why Sidwell's so p*ssed off is that his agent cocked up his contract. By including the clause that Sidwell could talk to clubs who bid £2.5 million (or whatever the amount is), he believed that therefore his client would be transferred to a club who bid that much, subject to agreein...

Trouble is, it looks like a lack of ambition. I don't know the numbers, but I suspect we haven't sold as many season tickets as the club expected. The club seem to have been caught short by the "floating" fans not kicking their door down for tickets. All, or most, of us who had season tick...

I can't believe that it's all going to plan for us this close season. One of Steve Coppell's favourite sayings last season was along the lines of "the football you play to get out of the Championship will not work in the Premiership, and the football played in the Premiership won't get you out ...

Wonder if he's still got his gun?

Could be the first time a player can hold a gun to a club's head
over contract negotiations...and mean it.

Useful for those wrong turnings through Whitley, too... 8)

Buy-back scheme

Anybody heard any news about the ticket buy-back scheme for ST holders?

The club said a few months ago they would be announcing the details in, I think, June or July but I've heard nothing. I'll have to miss a ferw games this season and the money is not to be sneezed at...

Harper or Sidwell

Leading on from "Harper village idiot" thread, I thought it might be interesting to see who the majority of fans prefer. I was always of the impression the majority was against me when I say I prefer Harper.
