Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

Am I right there's a cut off to apply deductions for new offences? So even if we are late with everything 2 more points is the limit this season? Obviously we don't want to start next season on negative points and the risk is ultimately liquidation. Anybody telling Dai how serious this is? This wil...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

I just got some troubling information concerning our finances. Basically, if Dai doesn't agree to the sale very soon then we'll be getting the 2-point suspended deduction in April. Even if he does it depends on whether the new owner is willing to give us money before the sale is finalised. It could...

Re: Selles In

Agree with much of the above. Yes, Arsenal are scoring for fun atm but I also saw their games on Sky against Villa and Brighton in the last month and they just gave up when going behind, neither side was in particularly good form either at the time. At least before Christmas Sheffield were competiti...

Re: The final 10

5 homes - 3 wins, one draw, one defeat. Probably shouldn't lose any, but allowing for one bad result. 5 aways - draw Rovers, beat Burton, lose other 3. That gives 14 points and think if anything pessimistic on current form. 51 points including -2...I can't see the bottom 4 getting above 48. No one l...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

RG30 Mark Bowen said we had a top 3 wage bill budget on BBC Radio Berkshire earlier this season.

I think it was top three based on all outgoings, only us and Derby have cat one academies.

Re: Rival Watch

Well we are almost certain to lose another 2 points later this month with the news coming out today, i would imagine if we don`t pay the wages again it could get worse by next month, we are still very much in danger of the drop, or worse. Isn't there a cut off for new charges to affect the season? ...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

So STAR's minutes from the EFL meeting suggest possible progress, as does the Howe interview. But also suggests money from January will run out during March. We're fast approaching sale or bust. Hopefully it happens this time. The STAR report confirms that Dai is still providing minimum funding whe...

Re: Rival Watch

I fancy Charlton to win tomorrow, Cheltenham seem to be starting a poor run again. A bit off track from L1 stuff but the bottom of the Championship is closer than I can ever remember with 6 points from Watford in 12th to third bottom. Its looking like well north of 50 points to stay up which will ma...

Re: Record Watch 23/24

We don’t sing, “We’ve got the record, 106, with a GD of 67” Because we hold the record outright. My specific question was whether if two sides achieved 106 would the side with the better goal difference be considered the record holder ? I assume you aren’t a stats man. No, it's separate from the re...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Carlisle United (a)

Top day out and a comfortable win. We had way too much for them in midfield. Only moans, slow start again and almost cost us early on, and a poor 15 min spell after we scored the third. Mbengue getting better but makes me nervous still at times, decision making sometimes not great, difficult one for...

Re: The final 10

Missed out Barnsley away but hopefully we will have enough points by then.

Reckon 3 wins should be enough given form of bottom 4

Earnshaw just reporting driving through a blizzard, given he left lunch time he must be nearly there.

Met office is for rain on and off, heavy at times, until kick off

Re: MATCHWATCH : Carlisle United (a)

Paul Simpson's pre match comments are interesting, he reckons Carlisle would only be about 6 points behind us without the points deduction, and goes on to say we're really been struggling.

Maybe they've scouted the wrong team ....

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

I guess the key question now is how much money, if any, is left from the player sales and whether Dai is still providing any funds.

Hopefully we can get to exclusivity by next time.

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

So, on potential further points deductions and when they could be levied: 1. We are a day late on tax or football creditor, suspended 2 points deduction is levied, anytime between now and the end of June. 2. Wages are late, say tomorrow when next due. Given players are an expense and not a creditor ...

Re: Rival Watch

I don't think its a bad thing not playing sides at the bottom, those are real high pressure games the later we go, I'd much rather be playing sides like Bristol Rovers, Lincoln and Northampton. Theres also nothing to fear playing the likes of Derby and Barnsley away, the gap between top and bottom i...

Re: The Magic Number Thread

Points need based on average PPG for all sides = 45
Points need as average survival in L1 over last 5 years = 46
RFC average PPG season to date = 49 (say 47 with suspended points taken off)
