Re: Man City Away

Looking to take my nipper to this (its his birthday that day). Cheers You must really love that kid. Yep. His choice, was since the fixtures came out, luckily he's grounded and is enjoying this season for what it is. Loves Reading and can't understand why his mates all support the big teams...

Re: Man City Away

Looking to take my nipper to this (its his birthday that day). Im ok, I'm a bit worried it won't get to General sale as he only has a handful of points so far. Can use my dads card for a concession. Anyone not going willing to go on my family and friends so I can deffo get a ticket for the missus? C...

Re: Proud to be a Reading fan tonight

Sometimes it is worth listening to the words of a child. My lad's (7) asssessment of the game last night, that it was a good result. In his eyes/words we scored 5 goals against Arsenal, who are better than us. He has gone away in awe of a game where he had no time to wonder where Kingsley was, no ti...

Chelsea: Cech; Ivanovic, Cole, Cahill, Terry (c); Mikel, Hazard, Ramires, Lampard, Mata; Torres.

I'd say they are taking this pretty seriously.

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

It is vastly amusing to see the Bodgers we know and love giving the Scousers a taste of his Reading experience, i.e.: 1. Bombing out players he's decided he doesn't fancy before barely seeing them play. 2. Recruiting (or attempting to recruit) his former players irrespective of whether they're actu...

Re: Portsmouth fc

It's no being naive, or a Moron Ian, thanks for the input. It is an obscene amount of money that just does not seem justified. I'm not 100% sure 4.8 is the true figure, even if it end up being a million plus, for an administrator who effectively failed in their task. I don't doubt the work that goes...

Re: Portsmouth fc

Do you think administrators work for nothing, then? Obviously. Does a comment like that make you clever? Did I say that? Straw poll....If anyone can be arsed to prove my point...Please indicate your feelings toward this statement: Is 4.8m a Joke amount for an administrator to be paid by a Fo...

Re: Will the Olympics make us look at footballers in a new l

lets be realistic here...not every footballer acts like a dick. Not every athlete acts like Phillips Odowu. The base arguement should surely be aimed at the Audience. That is where the anger, the antagonism and the violence stems from....its part of the game though, Athletics et al have never been a...

Re: Portsmouth fc

Someone then still has to pay Birch his 4.8m fee...Joke. Whats the joke? Do you think the administrator should work for nothing? The administrator (and their charges) were agreed to by the creditors at the time Pompey went into administration, so its not like the fees are a shock; all that is happe...

Re: Portsmouth fc

He's no longer bidding to buy the club. But I'd be amazed if he's prepared to stop being a creditor, too. Why would he? Agreed; except that if the administrators get their way (about the valuation of Fratton Park), then the amount he will be owed will be slashed from £17M to £2.75M. I thought he ha...

Re: Portsmouth fc

Basically Chanrai has written off his £17M "loan" to the club using the ground as surety because the administrators are going to Court to prove that the ground is worth less than £3m; once they do that, he is going to lose £14M anyway; as a result, he is walking away now. Hopefully never ...
