Re: Worst Football League Ground in the Country?

Haven't particularly enjoyed any previous visits to Turf Moor - Burnley is a horrible place and I always found it a bit intimidating a few years back as a kid to walk up that street to the ground that is lined with dodgy looking boozers. Agree with Schards about the Ricoh. The facilities are undenia...

Re: Official Deadline Day Thread......

double d interesting to note that Watford have signed a whole team of 11 from Udinese on loan... Is that even allowed?

Suppose so. Although isn't there a limit on the number of loanees you can have in a matchday squad? Used to be 5.

Can't believe they put Shorey up for this.

I know most footballers aren't all that bright but he strikes me as being particularly dim.

Re: Worst matchday experience?

I presume they don't still have the away fans under the home fans anymore at Molineux?

Remember some delightful stuff coming down at us last time I went. Not sure what year that was (03?), but they were wearing Dorito sponsored shirts and had Ince in the midfield.

Re: Which football ground in London is the worst?

I tend to find most of the Midlands grounds have the worst stewards known to man.

But anyway, with regard to the topic I would go for Selhurst. Can't think of a single redeeming feature.

Re: When was your first Reading game?

Have so many memories of Reading FC have seen so many characters over the years, Ray "Bomber "Reeves who hit a ball harder than anyone I have seen. Dick Spiers,(R.I.P) was n´t a dirty player just appeared to be. Johnny Walker who scored with a rocket from 40 yards on his debut. Robin Frid...

Re: When was your first Reading game?

genome Reading 3 Nottingham Forest 3, 24th October 1997

The first game I have any recollection of as a little kid definitely involved Pierre Van Hooijdonk at Elm Park so it must have been that one.

Re: Colours to the mast, pick your relegation candidates

Norwich are the first that come to mind, not sure Hughton is capable of replicating last year's success. Typical case of second season syndrome and being found out having not made many changes to the playing squad. Despite Southampton's promising attacking performances against both Manchester clubs,...

Re: Next capatin -Light hearted

I was hoping the wedding thing wouldn't be brought up in response to that question. Not sure how you can really draw any comparisons between what apparently happened there and his attitude on a football pitch. I have seen absolutely nothing so far in his handful of appearances for us to suggest he h...

Re: Next capatin -Light hearted

Pearce is the most logical option of those. As above, the others aren't guarenteed a long-standing spot at the moment. I don't understand how Guthrie isn't guaranteed a long standing spot. He's been clearly one of our best players. And we have no one else like him in the squad either. He's looking ...

In.

Great night last time we went there. Late Howard equaliser and then Siggy crashing in a long-range winner in the cup.

And then another fine display of midlands stewarding.

Re: Speculation : Shane Long to return

http://www.thefablife.com/files/2011/05/yes.gif Don't want him back, massively overrated and I've seen enough of his blustering, clueless approach on the field to want to endure it a second bloody time. :| I take it you were otherwise engaged for the majority of the playoff season then?
