I honestly can't remember the last time someone returned from injury sooner than expected.

Re: Financial Fair Play

That'd be ace. Clear the whole site comprising Broad Street Mall, Penta Hotel, Hexagon, council offices, TVP and a magistrates courts and build a multi-purpose 24 hour community centre with a 50,000 capacity roller roof stadium for when we're in the Champions League. Oh, and re-open Sweeney Todd's. ...

Re: Financial Fair Play

Stranded So essentially, the accounts show we are fcuked and reliant on the owners. Isn't that true of probably 80% of football clubs these days?

The only difference being the general level of fcukedness.

I'm a words, pictures and fuzzy felt fella, but I believe that this absolutely nails it.

What a great survey. Well thought through with some interesting questions. I hope you get the response it deserves. Your stooodent 'dissertation' would make interesting reading.

Hahaha. Watch this from 12 min 16 secs.

First the farmers giving it the big one at Nelson for being Naaarwich and for being physically assaulted and, when he scores, they go a smidge radio rental.

Re: BFTG Ipswich

Just back to Pangers after that god awful journey..... But happily wearing big bruise on my left thigh, skinned right shin and a purple right thumb - all caused in the pandemonium of bodies in the 90th minute. Haven't enjoyed an away day like that for years. MotM - Emi. Three world class saves. Swif...

Sold out online and yet allocation extended by another 500 or so. It would help if the ticket office and online sales would coordinate properly so that those wanting to buy tickets can..... Am going on the chuffer via Liverpool Street and Cambridge which seems a far better option than the blo...

Re: BFTG Rotherham

So weird... I saw it quite differently. The goal was a thing of beauty and one of the best I have ever seen from a Reading side. Yes, that was simply one of the best goals I have ever seen RFC score in 50 years. Won the ball out wide on half way, play it all around to feet including back to Martine...

Re: Have Reading ever had a player like a "Pogba B"

Midfielder, hard in the tackle, marauding, a bit of skillz, gets in the box and scores .... naah, not in my 50 years of endurance. The standout must surely be Postman Webb.... Worth a shout - Bowman, Dunphy, Beavon. Ummm, can't think of anymore. Simon Osborne was class but played wide.... Just for t...

Re: Rumour - Ruben Semedo

I'd 100% bring him in if Ilori is on his way. tbf not sure he'd be too keen or able to cause too much trouble if he was in a new country etc. Just have to get his head down and play you'd hope. He'll be running the Homies down the Occy Road between Reading West and the Pond House. Very much in the:...

Re: January Outs

Quite honestly a "January Who Deserves to Stay" list would probably be a lot shorter ! Rinomhota Yiadom Swift (when played as a CAM behind striker) Moore Harriott Bacuna Bod Kelly and now i'm struggling.. (Edit: just re-read as "deserves to stay", so actually, maybe more like: R...

Gunny Fishcake We are 28/1 with SkyBet , I can never recall higher odds for a football team in a match.

I've just included Man Utd for the win in my Heinz for Saturday.... at a miserable 1/10.....

Gunny Fishcake At least Blackpool away is something to look forward to next season.

We were grimly staring into our pints of Guinness at half time when matey boy piped up: "Well, there's Blackpool to look forward to.... and Wycombe.... although the Pox will probably go down."

Agree with both those comments above - with the exception of I feel really sorry for Swift. Yet again the only person with any nouse, skill, creativity and workrate .... he must feel really shit playing in such a shit team. (Sorry, Rino was off the pace today as well....) Re: Turning water into wine

What I would contest is that we have a substandard squad. What we have is a good squad putting in substandard performances over a period of 12 months and that is the key task for any manager coming into the club, finding the right system and motivating the players to cosistantly perform at a level ...

Re: BFTG QPR

FYI - Meite has 6 goals in 21 league games, some playing out wide. Bod has 7 in 14 Both of these are very good scoring records. We've been poor upfront because they haven't played much recently and are coming back from injury. Not because they aren't very good. Although I suspect they'll both strug...

Re: BFTG QPR

Playing our top goal scorer who averages a goal a game would probably help with that. Calling our second top goalscorer "unbelievably poor" is a bit OTT though. Especially when he's played two games in a couple of days having been out injured for a few weeks.[/quote] Ummm, but he is .... ...

Re: BFTG QPR

Crikey, I've read a great deal of bollocks on Hobnob over the years but I think the assassination of Swift must be right up there. Anyone with half a football brain and who went to 'Wall and QPR can see that Swift (and Rino) was the MotM in each game. Swift is the one player with real quality, visio...
