Re: Birmingham away

Sorry if I offended you RL, but whilst the walk might take 20 minutes for Compo, it might take a few minutes longer for some other people (myself included). Certainly at a stroll it'll take a little while.

Re: Brendan Rogers

Nobody's saying Brendan shouldn't take credit for signing Gylfi - will he be there next season though? Will Roberts be at Reading? Swansea were playing well before Christmas though so with more funds potentially available this summer they might be able to sign a similar (but lesser) playmaker and be...

Re: Birmingham away

Compo's Hat Having walked from New Street to Air nightclub a few times (which is just the other side of the railway line from St Andrews), it's definitely less than half an hour walk easily.

How old are you, and are you a girl? (No offence intended RL)

Might have an unofficial presentation at Birmingham, if we win it. Maybe?

Re: Fulham's away end

Saw Fulham on Sky the other night and Martin Tyler (was it?) said that they only open it up to neutrals if it doesn't sell out to home fans first. It's a gr8 idea anyway and more clubs should do it - although I'm not sure how much take up there would be outside of London-based Premier League clubs :?

Re: Record Watch 2011-12

Yes they are - should we ignore their results against the semi-pros? I can see where everyone's coming from and the 'loss' of the record doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Would Fleetwood's record this season be the best non-league season in history?

Re: Record Watch 2011-12

Agree to an extent myself FWIW, but there needs to be a cut-off somewhere and I think 'professional football' is as good a line as any.

Re: Record Watch 2011-12

Don't think anyone's claiming Reading's record is for the top division, just the football league in general.

Re: Record Watch 2011-12

Fleetwood currently 1-0 up which would put them on 101 points with another 12 up for grabs Might not be football league but harsh to take such a record away if they do achieve it Why? They're playing against non-league teams, albeit having a jolly good season. When they perform that well against Fo...

Re: Goal of the season?

Shame they couldn't work a proper opening and had to rely on Young hitting it in off the post through a crowd of players. Also you have to agree with earlier observations that all the passing was between Carrick and the back five and to be fair Blackburn were leaving them to it.

Nice gif though.

Re: Sea of Scarves

We shall undoubtedly see but if you think fans of any other team give a flying f*ck what Reading fans do then you're seriously deluded. This may come as a surprise to some but I don't actually care what fans of another team do to support their team - do you? If you do then I might humbly suggest tha...

Re: Rivals to the "106" team?

Agreed Ian, and the evidence is there for all to see as this team hasn't minced the league and - although I'd like to see it - probably wouldn't come 8th in the Premier League next year. The 106 team contained some of the best players we'll ever see play for Reading and they worked as a unit at leas...

Re: Jason Roberts - we salute you!

He was on MOTD2 this evening and his own words seemed to back up your opinion. A great character to have in the team and that's clearly why Brian signed him - quite apart from the goal threat he brings!

Re: Rivals to the "106" team?

Sonko is probably the most amazing athlete I've seen play for Reading. Explosive, strong and guaranteed to start at a disadvantage. Really, really sad to watch him after his injury.

Re: Rivals to the "106" team?

Interesting one - from the 06 team, who would walk into the team now? Shorey and Kitson almost certainly, but would you take out Kebe for Little? Karacan for Sidwell? Goes without saying they would make the squad better but the team is buzzing right now (cheers Jase!) I'd have Harper in the squad an...

tbf Ian they're both well past their sell-by date and frequently come up with bullshit such as you highlight - who cares which one is which?
