It pains and embarrasses me to admit it now, but I had serious doubts about whether Little was going to make the grade in the premiership. I thought he'd be one of those Coppell could probably look to replace.

What's worse, Murty was another.

I know, I know. I am not worthy...........

I too have had loads of people coming up to me saying how impressed they were ('last 20 minutes you were taking Man U apart' - I didn't think I'd ever hear that!)

And an old friend from emailed me from Chicago to saying what a great team we've got.

I just glowed with pride.

We have a reasonable chance either way, the posts on other threads suggest our reserves will start. Why not a first choice team? if we are deamed to be "safe" in the league. Why not have a real go at the cup?, or is a possible place in Europe more lucrative or likely than the FA cup? I re...

Re: Anyone remember this.........?

Awhile back, a well known hob nobber did a search for the grave of the founder of RFC. I guess this would be nice for the newbies and plastics on here to have a look. http://www.btinternet.com/~rfc1871/news/features/sydenham.htm No need for anyone to feel patronised by Spaceloser's tone - I've seen...

If I done the same I'd expect my mates to give me a slap or a kicking for being a dick and putting them in that position. I wouldn't expect them to go to court and grass me up . By 'grass' you mean of course 'tell the truth about the thuggish criminality you have witnessed and avoid committing perj...

Some of my first memories of Reading came in the form of the FA Cup. The games with Sunderland and Newcastle in the early nineties when there was some sort of crowd at Elm Park for a change. Gillingham in the third round was also a good game, remember they disrupted the silence before and that set ...

Harper at Palace for me. Great team goal, after Murty won the ball back and played in Little and the celebrations were awesome. I ended up about 5 rows down from where I was stood. Great night for atmosphere as well, only about 1,500 Royals there but it sound like 3,000! Please win tomorrow and the...

I was down the front behind the goal at the town end for the Arsenal game. It was fantastic, and Reading did wonderfully well against the then double holders.

Don't think Pat Rice scored though - didn't we get all three (or at least one own goal and a deflection)?

Why not rename 'Northern Way', 'Coppell Way'? I think 'way' is more appropriate than 'street' , 'road' etc. as our success has been attained the 'Coppell Way'. Strongly agree with this. But probably not yet. What I'd really like is for JM to try to get Coppell to sign perhaps a 2-year contract this...
