Re: Chelsea Prediction thread

Scarface 5 straight league defeats, down to 17th in the league after a crushing 3v0 defeat. After the UTD performance Coppell will yet again bottle it and go 5-4-1 away from home, so we won't get a kick. There that's positive.

I've convinced myself we're relegation fodder now.

Re: Clear out in the summer?

gazzer, loyal royal i have a feeling duberry is out of contract in the summer, did he not only sign an 18 month contract?

A good point. His future here may be dependent on how Coppell views Alex Pearce's progress and whether Cisse can reproduce the level of performance we saw last time out.

Re: Clear out in the summer?

There is no way that Sonko should be leaving yet. If any player can come back stronger next season it will be him! Som which of our many centre abcks should go (particularly as Cisse can play there). The issue I am raising is that we've actually starting to get a fairly large squad that I think wil...

Re: How we stack up against the opposition in terms of signings

Our best signing in 2 years is Michael Duberry agreed, which sort of sums it up really. I like Doobs, probably our best out and out defender, limited in certain things but he'd be in my team over Sonko absolutely any day. Those players mentioned were singed for money, and in most cases are still he...

Re: How we stack up against the opposition in terms of signings

Vision - I didn't want to post up waht i posted a couple of months ago, there have been a couple of bright lights in the 2 years with regards s to have come in. Bikey shows one week real promise then the next he looks like a park player. It's infuriating because I agree with you, he has talent and ...

Re: How we stack up against the opposition in terms of signings

As a sort of member of the negativve nobbers, I wouldn't be 'delighted' to be proved right. Utterly gutted and disappointed more like. Reading's transfer policy in the last 2 years has been absolutely wretched, it's starting to catch up with them now. What we are relying on is some f our consistant...

Re: Kitson for England?

Kitson and Rooney upfront for England does sound mouth-watering! What, even though they both naturally like to operate in the same kind of area? I know what you mean but to be fair they said that about Tevez and Rooney. Rooney gets a lot of stick for being a brain dead neanderthal but when it comes...

Re: Polish International on trial

I can't believe he's only been offered 7 grand a week. I thought it was agreed on here that any half decent new players are supposed to on at least 40k I knew someone would take what I wrote the wrong way. The Polish article said that he wanted at least 7k a week salary and that he wouldn't go to K...

Silver Fox I can't believe (well, maybe I can) I saw Robert Fleck in Shooters more times than I saw him on the pitch

Like all clubs we've signed some absolute tossers over the years but none can match this man.

Seems apt, you moaning minis.

That piece might have been reasonably funny if anyone from Reading had actually complained about the gesture.

Actually on reflection, no it wouldn't.

I wish people would stop banging on about Foe this and Foe that.

Some might think we're trying to sign a dead African player.

Re: "A Team so Starstruck............."

The biggest bull sheet post of the year. Apart from the fact that, in our first season in the PL, SC did ban our players from swapping shirts with players from other teams because he feared that very thing happening! Did he? I didn't know that, quite suprised. As i said earlier, according to Murty ...

Re: "A Team so Starstruck............."

I don't think it was anything to with Coppell. According to Murty last season the players themselves decided not to swap shirts as they didn't want to be seen as "tourists" taking souvenirs from their 15 minutes on the big stage. Even then there were one or two who went against it. Don't t...

Birmingham have a pretty good defensive record out of the teams at the bottom, but have a problem with scoring goals. They are obviously seeking to address the problem. Can't see how signing Samaras does anything in that department. Samaras & McFadden >>>>>>>> DJ Campbell & Cameron Jerome H...
