I'd say, by the number of plastic pint glasses with beer still in them as the supporters head back for the stands, that a schooner is about all that many people drink anyway. But that may be because the beer's shit at the Mad Stad. So serving full pints of better-kept beer might work as well.

If you're referring to the activity at the bus station half an hour before the game, it was started by about 15 boys in Reading colours (hesitate to call them fans) striding up to the Fulham supporters waiting for the buses. Seemed to take the stewards completely by surprise.

Agreed with the OP - we're not playing any worse (and I'd suggest we're playing a lot better) than we have for the past 3 Septembers. Our season never starts until Christmas, so let's not get gloomy until January!

It doesn't take into account people like me who started supporting the local club at a young age, then moved away but carried on supporting the same club. I think of myself as supporting my local club even though I live in London these days.
