Re: BFTG - Leeds

RoyalBlue If we're short of wide players at present, why doesn't he play Obita on the left wing and bring Taylor in at left back?

Agreed. Even if Obita isn't the best out wide he'd be decent support a la McAnuff.

Re: BFTG - Leeds

First game since Wembley. Slightly different experience... Really impressed with the defence. McShane and Ferdinand were solid, the full-backs tracked their men and I never felt like Leeds were a threat. Bond just about fine when called upon. Going forward, what a mess. Why on earth is Williams play...

Re: whos the forth??

Happy for Kelly to stick around on reduced wages. Seems like a decent enough character, if he was a regular starter he'd be captain material.

Re: Next Captain

Surely it's Gunter or Williams in the current squad. If only Cox was half decent.

Should just give it to Akpan for the lolz.

Could do with Boro getting promoted so we get first dibs on all the decent Chelsea players next year.

Re: Why supporting Reading is better than supporting Arsenal

For me it's promotion. I'd be surprised if anything in football comes close. Forest at home in 11/12 is probably the best I've felt as a football fan, even more than 05/06.

Re: Summer Clear-out

Happy to see a fairly large turnaround of the squad. I'm sure we'll be inundated with Chelsea loanees, and hopefully Clarke has his eyes on one or two quality players. if we can get rid of: -One of Blackman/Cox (Quite like Blackman but never turned it on for long enough) -Guthrie -Yakubu -Kelly (Goo...

Re: Heartbreaking results

Too young for Bolton thank f*ck. Don't see why Saturday was heartbreaking, we played well but were by no means the better team. Would have been very surprised if Arsenal hadn't scored in the 2nd half of extra time if they hadn't in the 1st. Heartbreaking games: 1. Swansea. Nothing will beat the exci...

Re: Kwesi Appiah

I live in Cambridge in term time, seen him a fair few times. He's a real talent, far too good for League 2 and a fan favourite to boot. Definitely worth a punt!

Re: BFTG - Watford (H)

First game in a few months. Bloody hell if you're seeing positives there I hate to imagine how bad the peformances have been recently. We were average in the first half, poor in the second. Watford fully deserved the points. Feds - 6 - Wasn't his distribution meant to be awesome? Didn't seem it toda...

Re: Re-poll: Next Manager

I quite like the idea of Clarke as manager but I can't see the fans warming to him. Having thought about it some more Hughton is definitely still my favourite, did fantastic jobs as Birmingham & Newcastle, and wasn't a total failure at Norwich. Sherwood would probably be a laugh, bit of an unkno...

Re: Adkins has gone...

Shame it never worked out. Plenty of respect for Adkins and seems like he had a pretty shite hand dealt to him, but nevertheless he hasn't done anything near a 'good' job. I'd have kept him but I'm not heartbroken he's gone. Dolan in.
