I guess Madejski should have spent £40 million on players instead, and worried about having a ground with a capacity of 2000 (as it would have been reduced to as our terraces had lost their licence) at a later date. of course not you dick. I was hardly advocating we should have stayed at EP, just ...

We got about £5Million for the Elm Park land, had to spend £6 Million developing the roads around the Madejski, and then £40 million on the stadium. TY. My point being the more we spend on increasing the stadium, the bigger hit we will take if we go down in the next 2 or 3 years. Which, in my op...

Good question. I would say the team as we all go primarely to watch a football match. i dont think you can really call it a football "Club" anymore. This applies to most other teams, not just Reading. A Club is somthing that exists for the benefit of its members (ie the players, fans, &...

There is a realistic probability that we will get relegated over the next 2 or 3 seasons, despite what we have achived over the last couple of years. We've already seen how far back the club was set when our last relegation coincided with the move to the Mad Stad.. the move didn't "set the clu...

Yorkshire Royal It wouldn't suprise me that the 2nd part of the extension was delayed. But I think bumping up to 30,000 will definitely be good for the club.

Me neither. That may be why they have changed to developing the East stand first as it would give them that option.

I agree with a lot of the points you make Symposium, particually about taking friends and children to the game. But for me this is more than just speculating to accumulate. The club are taking a massive gamble with our long term future. There is a realistic probability that we will get relegated ove...

The original plan was for the North and South to be done first .... i wonder why the change ?! Oct-Dec 2007 - Complete North & South Stands Oct-Dec 2008 - Complete East Stand They also asked for peoples opinions on which would b done 1st. I guess the east stand won i suppose you have to bear in...

Sodje- very solid, great goal. Federici made some top saves I cant choose between them   Sodje was poor, sorry but his defending in the 2nd half was very poor, just stopped for thier first goal. Very disappointed. Agreed AP. I always thought Sodje was a strange signing. ive seen him h...

Can we field numbers 1 - 11?

When they read out the team last Home game i noticed how close we were to fielding numbers 1-11 on the teamsheet. It would take injury or suspension for Harper & Ingamarsson for it to happen, but i bet its a very long time since a Prem side has fielded the old fashion shirt numbers line up. Hahn...

Would be carnage. When is the 4th round played? Weekend of 27th Jan £72 return on the train 06:19 from Reading arriving 12:27 18:34 from Newcastle arriving 00:41 A few drinks possibly  Alternatively, £3.99 each way plus £20 taxes = £27.98 flying from Stansted (whether return on Saturday n...

Why should ST holders get full priority over other competions other than the League? Because those are the terms offered to you when you buy a ST. Priority for Home cup games is included in the price. Which is why I said that they shoudl be changed, but not half way through a season. Ive paid my ha...

]Quite the opposite actually - I'm glad I wasn't a Burnley fan today and feel very sorry indeed for them. If the ground staff and referee had shown more common sense then the pitch would have been playable and the risk of injury minimalised. I feel sorry for them too. Unfortunatly sometimes shit ha...

Has anyone mentioned that the areas of the pitch that had the most standing water on were the areas that get the most wear & tear from the rugger buggers. The waterlogged strip by the East Stand is a worn patch where they hold the scrums & where the players stand for line outs. Kick them out...
