Re: Rodgers - let us all get some perspective

For the record - Rodgers first 9 games at Watford were DLWWLLDLL - 8 points (only one more point than he has at RFC) Next 9 games WLWWWLWWD - 19 points I would settle for a repeat. If we get 19 points from 29 Sep Preston A Championship - - - - 3 Oct Middlesbrough H Championship - - - - 17 Oct West ...

Re: Coppell - Can He Save Us???

SC will always be a RFC legend but it is seldom a good idea to go back. The future is Rodgers.

Re: Brendan looks to reduce the squad

Rodgers knows what he is doing. He has had a look at all the players - will now send some of the younger (or unwanted) out on loan and we will start to move up the table.

Have some faith guys - I still think he may well turn out to be our best ever manager - if he is given a chance that is!

Re: Preston prediction thread

I predict that RFC will surprise everyone by winning quite comfortably tonight - then go on and beat Boro on Saturday and that within a coupe of weeks everyone on Hobnob will be raving about Rodgers being a tactical genius.

Re: Start to the season - a comparison

Well we are now 9 games into a 46 game league season, nigh on 20% of the way through the campaign. So I thought I would update the stats on starts to the season. I’ve added a bit more info, including a look at the number of players utilised by the various managers over the years in the first 9 game...

Re: Rodgers - let us all get some perspective

I just hope and pray that the knee jerk, fair weather, loser RFC fans on Hobnob are not a true reflection of the whole fan base. Why cannot you moaning whinging lot see that Rodgers has had an all but impossible job to do. Through no fault of his we have had to sell the bulk of our remaining PL team...

Re: Brendan - FFS Just End It...

Give the man time FFS there is no one better we could have appointed that would work within JM's short coat Agreed - Rodgers can only work with what he has - some on here expected far too much I think. Whoever took over from SC had a hard job and on top of that most of the top players have gone and...

Re: Back from the game - Watford (h)

"Can't criticise Rodgers....on balance a fair result" - you're joking right?? Of course you can criticise Rodgers - did you not see our complete lack of intelligence on the ball? The manager's job is to show the players who they're marking, what to do at set pieces etc etc. We were woeful...

Re: How many games has Rogers got left?

So. those are the easy games over. Now comes Preston, Boro and West Brom. I would be surprised if Reading get more than a single point from these three games and even more surprised if BR is still in his post by the end of this run. In the first 15 games we will have played the most of the top 10. ...

Re: Back from the game - Watford (h)

Cant beat Watford, laughable. Two awfully bad sides and we have a manager who really is losing the plot second on second. Gaurenteed defeats for next 2 games. Bottom 3 in 7 days. Exciting times. It's ok though, he is friends with Mourinho. F*ck off cnut. Your comments are laughable - Watford are 7t...

Re: Back from the game - Watford (h)

Obviously not winning is disappointing but it was definitely a point won rather than two dropped against a good Watford side that scrapped for everything. I felt we did well to hold on for a draw and really did not expect us to at one point. In the end after the sending off we could well have nicked...

Watford last season and this season

I remember the Watford game clearly from January - partly because it was one of the coldest nights I can ever remember. Watford were under the management of a new young up and coming manager - BR - and we were flying high. On the night Watford outplayed Reading in virtually every department. Reading...

Federici is right - we are a bit of confidence short of being a good team again. Someone will feel the pent up frustration before too long I think.

Re: Do you want regime change at Reading?

Tony Le Mesmer So far 63% say "no, i blame the plastic, knee-jerk mentality of a large proportion of the fanbase"

Given that about 90% of posters on here fall into that category, people are in fact blaming themselves.

That would seem to be fair.

Re: Do you want regime change at Reading?

Reading fans are the most fickle and negative lot so that was easy to answer. You can't be fickle negative. You're one or t'other. In my dictionary fickle and negative have different definitions. I should have put an "and" in to make it absolutely clear that I meant both fickle AND negati...

rhroyal To be honest when somebody suggests playing Gunnarsson at right back, O Dea at left back and Howard on the left wing it's hard to take anything they say seriously.

Agreed -did not think it was even worth taking the bait over those ridiculous comments!
