Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (a)

Five centre halves on the pitch. Beyond Pulis territory this.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (a)

Ince going on about playing 433 which changed the last game and now had the chance to but still wont do it, instead going back to the same old, same old. Baffling management

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (a)

Lots of uproar about Azeez coming off on twitter which is understandable but I think people are forgetting it’s his first start in ages and you can’t really take many risks with him.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham United (h)

Fornah wants to come and if Forest stay up they may well let him leave for a small fee or even free as he's OOC in 2024. Hutchinson has a deal already for next year, so he'll be around unless he retires, which is possible. Ejaria may still be here if no-one wants him or we pay up the last year. Car...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham United (h)

Think we’ve done just about enough to keep us safe now. Do not see two of Blackpool, Huddersfield, Cardiff and Wigan catching us. Blackpool haven’t won since October. Huddersfield have struggled badly all season. Cardiff just won their first game since Bonfire night. Wigan have only beaten Blackpool...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham United (h)

This Liam Moore situation really is bizarre. A lot of people reckon he’s pulling sickies, but it makes no sense given he was perfectly happy to play an U23 game the other day and can’t imagine many teams see him as an attractive free agent as things stand.

Re: Ince out!

Are we not already in that stage without many realising it (thanks to the very strong start to the season)? The performance graph over the past 18 games would show a pretty dramatic slide with just four wins. I'm not calling for him to go yet but alarm bells should be starting to ring and he needs ...

Re: Ince out!

He’s come in and is doing the job he’s been asked to do, arguably beyond that. There’s a lot of very valid criticism about him, but talk of sacking him mid season is silly. I can think of dozens of teams who had just as bad resources or even better than us and had better managers do significantly w...

Re: BFTG Norwich (a)

Feel like the side is learning how to draw or even win games after going behind, we’d have crumbled each time a year ago. Paul Ince probably won’t be the man to take us up a level, but give me a side that does the basics well more often than not over the absolute dross I’ve seen over the past few ye...

Re: BFTG Coventry

Another few more points which helps us get closer to the magic 50 points mark. I hope we can keep Mbengue too. Definitely someone we could sell for a few million in the future. I think 55 points might be needed this season to stay up. 1 point a game will get us 56. 7 more wins and 3 draws. Anything...

Re: BFTG Huddersfield Home

Honestly, you’d be forgiven for thinking Huddersfield were a newly promoted team on a shoestring budget and not a team that were 90 minutes away from the Premier League by reading the comments alone. Horrible change of fortunes.

I’m going to wait until the restrictions end to see if Dai has learned his lesson. Problem is I’m not sure he’s accepted that every player has a price in the lower leagues.

Re: Rival Watch

Sacking a manager who looked to have turned things around for someone who was managing in Uzbekistan was madness at the time so not surprised it’s ended badly (if the rumours are true). Not got a balanced squad especially in midfield either, they’ll probably still stay up comfortably, but hard to se...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (a)

7 tricky games in a month is going to be very rough. I don’t think we’ll be in the playoffs by the end of it, but if we can get about 3 wins out of it we’re already halfway there well ahead of schedule.

Re: What was our best bit of business in the summer window

Find it really difficult to single out anyone so early on but Fornah for me on loan has done a very good job in a role I was worried about whether we would be able to fill.

Touch wood but it’s very nice feeling like we can go into any home game and get a result. Players clearly have had it emphasised to them how important home form is this season.

Re: Squad Watch 2022/23

If this new left back is Joe Bryan then probably solves that issue. Otherwise we desperately need someone on the bench who we can bring on to give us some creativity to cut our reliance on set pieces. Hat-trick  Haven't we scored more not from set pieces? Sarr - corner McIntyre - corner Forna...
